I hired Krystacon Development to tear down and renovate the interior of a 1970s house in original condition that I had just bought. Josh and his team were able to finish the project in under four months.

The work included complete tear down, structural renovation, and adding a 1 bed 1 bath apartment to part of a walkout basement. It also included adding two bedrooms, building 2 whole new baths and completely renovating another bathroom. All fixtures were updated, the flooring was changed to high quality hardwood and engineered hardwood for the main floor and vinyl plank for the basement. It also included creating an opening for and installing a new bedroom window, spray foaming and waterproofing the entire basement.

Josh and his team are experts at on time completion. I remember one Sunday when Josh showed up at 6 am to demo the main bathroom and did not stop until the bathroom was fully complete (except for paint) at 6 pm.

I was converting the house into a student residence, so it was imperative that renovations be complete by end of April for the students to move in for the May intake. Josh met this deadline with two weeks to spare, having started on Jan 14.

Overall, amazing company to work with. They have flexible payment options so you can choose to compensate them only for their labour (and pay a non marked up price for materials - Josh will help procure), or have them quote an all-in cost.

I was so impressed with them as a client that I decided to offer engineering services to supplement their building services going forward.
