Dish washer repair - we were charged labor even though the repair was not done
Our dishwasher was leaking water. We called Appliance Repair Giants Inc. in Feb 2023. The serviceman came promptly to give us a quote. Without pulling out the dish washer, he told us the valve needed to be replaced, and it would cost $511. ($180 labour and $272.72 part plus tax) We paid half of it
We decided not to go ahead with the repair since the machine is 15 years old. Called them next morning to cancel, and was told the service call would cost $ 180 even though no labour was performed. After several phone calls, we were told the best they can refund us was $80 which means it cost $175 for the diagnostic call.
We called GE and was told the water Valve Part would only cost $88.50
I decided to write this review, not only to show that Appliance Repair Giants Brampton is unreasonable to charge the labor that they did not perform rather than $80 for diagnostic. The most important message is, please be aware Appliance Repair Giant has bought the appliance repair company which has been in service for over 20 years at the same location. And the service definitely is not the same as the previous owner.
