Nordstar Construction has been fabulous to deal with!! Sadly the selection of one of the local trades (name not allowed to be used on homestars) to install the cabinetry has been a nightmare. The company I actually selected and had Nordstar use has failed to deliver at most all their commitments. Fortunately Nordstar is attempting to make up for all their shortfalls, as have some of the other trades Nordstar employees.
Homestars review platform also has a poor system for vetting true reviews. When I posted the failed experience about the cabinet maker I was asked for proof of an invoice I used them, which I provided to show my experience was with the (name not allowed) the cabinet company. However, homestars, then altered my review to create a negative review on Nordstar which is absolutely false and wasn't their place to do so. In my opinion.
Then again disallowed mention of the actual company who failed us all, I guess thats why this is the only place the bad company has a 7.7, everywhere else they have low reviews scores.
If and when the (name not allowed) terrible local cabinet maker regains my trust, I would have happily edited to state the facts about the solutions, now I cant even do that. Bottomline, get references, and start by trusting and asking Nordstar (the great guys) about who theyd use and what their experiences have been.
