He told me the inspection would take 3 hours when in reality he was there for an hour. When we received the report it was basically empty and there was no effort that was put into it or the inspection for that matter.

There are certainly times that an inspection takes less than the 2.5 hours assigned, but I absolutely take a lot of effort and care to inspect everything I can, and answer any questions that a home buyer has along the way (a lot of the allotted time for an inspection is to make sure there is time for a buyer to ask questions as we go through the property). My reports outline any problems or "flags" noted in the property, and if the final report is light, it's because there was little to note that came up in the inspection. I'm also very available for follow up questions, and keep detailed notes on the properties I inspect.
