His problem solving skills are impressive and he didnt stop until he found a solution.
Installing a new vanity with old plumbing is tricky as well as reinstalling the bidet. Stephen didnt stop until all issues were resolved.
The bathroom is small, but due to his suggestions it feels bigger and looks beautiful.

An area that required improvement is that they made some decisions without consulting us. The decisions deviated from the engineering drawings and impacted the timeline to complete the work as agreed. Ultimately the deviations were corrected. It is important to us that contractors communicate any deviations with us so that we can understand the impact to our plan as well as the structural integrity of the house as it is semi-detached.

In the end, CNS completed the work in good quality as agreed.

We worked with CNS first on a basement renovation and next on a large exterior project which required a mix of masonry, structural work and deck building. Both projects were quite complex and we appreciated Stephen's attention to structural integrity and compliance with building code. His pricing was reasonable and transparent. He was also always willing to make time to discuss questions and concerns.

In Aug 2021, we contracted Stephen at CNS Custom Homes as our contractor to build out our kitchen project. The scope of the project was full demolition, flooring, cabinet install, plumbing, and finishing work.

From the start to the end of the project, he was flexible, attentive, dedicated, and always cared about ensuring that we were satisfied clients.

As far as the work throughout and end result, we are satisfied clients and would hire him again for future projects.

Stephen was quick to reply to my post. He was able to come within the week to complete our project.

The project was to complete the washroom renos as I did not have time to do it myself. The drywall was up but needed to be mudded. Trim, vanity, plumbing and shower needed to be installed along with paint.

Stephen was professional, detail oriented and communicated well through the small project.

Stephen came to install my fan and did an amazing job. He was very helpful in tips on what else I can do.with my bathroom. I will definitely hire him again and also recommend him to anyone else

We added a sunroom addition to our home and had some pieces of the job we needed to outsource from the builder. Stephen helped with purchasing and did the install of the laminate flooring, tile backsplash on our extended kitchen counter, and drywall patching / painting. The work was done on schedule and we're pleased with how it all turned out. Professional job, fair price on these different install finishes we needed.

Steve painted walls above staircase and fixed a hole in my ceiling. He was quick, efficient and his prices are reasonable. He is very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend him for any small or large home repairs.

We updated our kitchen and hired Stephen to put in the backsplash. He finished the job on time and on budget. We couldn't be more pleased with the final product and have had many compliments on the backsplash. We would certainly hire CNS Custom Home Improvements again.

The previous homeowner had left the back patio in a mess. It was very hard for me to remove the weeds and maintain under our trampoline. Stephen came and completely lifted, graded, reset and pressure washed the stones and it looks incredible. His advice on how to make it easy to maintain and improve the look while thinking long term for my future projects was greatly appreciated.
