Very good work. Arrived on time, wore a mask throughout, removed shoes 7 -8 times, although was told not to bother. Expected 30 - 40 minutes duration, took a full hour to complete, working diligently. Had his own vacuum, to clean up small amount of plaster dust afterwards. A simple project, am quite satisfied with the caliber of work, expect it to serve us well for many years to come, without any problems.
Quote was more than 50% above expectations, but was accepted due to time constraints. A $250.00 labor charge for one hour of carpentry work is excessive, in my mind.
Had my credit card available in my pocket, to settle up. Was surprised when Robin gathered his tools, bid good day, and departed. An invoice was received by e mail shortly thereafter, with a reminder about one half hour later payment was due that same day. Account could have been settled then and there, while still on the premises.

From the sounds of it, you were happy with the quality of work and that is great to hear! This was a last minute request and we did send a quote that you signed off on and approved so we were under the impression that you thought it was fair. We always stand by our prices whether they finish quickly or slowly so that our customers know exactly what they are paying before we arrive, preventing "add on" charges at the end of the visit. Thank you for having your payment ready for Robin. Due to COVID-19, we do a lot of our billing and invoicing off site to avoid exchanging card to hands and preventing the spread. Yes, we would prefer to settle it onsite and will consider and think of safe ways we can implement your suggestion.
