Numerous holes had been cut in the drywall and textured ceiling in order to replace poly b piping. MKZ was contracted to repair the holes, including new stippling and fresh coat of paint to match the whole ceiling. The crew was friendly and professional and the result is very good.

I submitted a request for a quote through Homestars on drywall install & tap & sand on few walls and ceiling in basement, I was contacted by Max from MKZ construction, and decided to have his team for the work. The job was done promptly, I would recommend his team.

This is a review of Maxime's supreme lack of professionalism and inability to manage deliveries.

Tried hiring MKZ to do drywall in my house, he subbed out vapour barrier and spray foam, and those subs were great. I'll review them separately.

Unfortunately, when it came to him and his crew doing any actual work, Maxime was far from professional. From stopping in-person conversations at my house to deal with his own personal side projects on the phone, to belittling my own career, to demanding a ridiculous amount of cleaning and material moving, and pressure "you have to book now" sales tactics, it was not a good process.

When he couldn't get ideal perfect parking to unload material he decided to walk away. He had 30 feet of clear parking space, and somehow couldn't figure out how to make it work.

To top it all off, he buys good reviews. In his estimate/invoice directly: "*** A $50.00 discount is offered when a review is completed on GOOGLE or HOMESTARS. Please ask us for more info! ***"
so, take all those high stars with a big grain of salt.

Professionals from start to finish. Estimator provide options and followed thru on everything he promised. Their mudder/taper was a 20 year professional that exceeded my expectations on the outcome of the job. MKZ was so easy to with with throughout the entire projects. Thanks guys, you really got me out of jamb. Would recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable contractor.

Called in to come in to fix hole in our ceiling left due to a leak at the above bathroom. Great communication, replied within a timely manner. They manage to squeeze us in on short notice...the guys did good quality work.

When we met Max we were in a bit of a frenzy as our electrical work had taken much longer than anticipated and as such we were running out of time on our reno. Max came to the house the next day to quote the job. He assured us the work could be started and delivered within a reasonable timeframe. The quote came on time and was very detailed and easy to follow. The work started quickly after the contract was signed. Their hard work got us back on our timeline! The attention to detail is fantastic. I cannot stop staring at our flat ceilings! Max and his team are professional, responsive, easy to work with and truly care about the end product. We look forward to hiring them again for our basement reno.

We did a main floor home renovation. MKZ Construction did a fabulous job on the ceiling drywall, paint and other drywall patching. They were fast, efficient, on-time, reasonably priced and had great communication keeping us up to date with progress. Pride of workmanship was very obvious. They went above and beyond to help us with our insulation issues. We were very happy with this company and would absolutely recommend them.

Max and Big Max went over and beyond! I hired them to take my ceilings from knockdown texture to a level 5. The quality of work was outstanding!!! Not to mention they are are very fair, hardworking and kind. Max has super strong communication skills and is very responsive which came in handy as I kept adding items to the job! He would get back to me almost immediately to answer any questions. Big Max’s attention to detail is incredible and he ensured the work was done to perfection. They are both extremely professional and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or hire them again for future projects! My new ceilings are beautiful and I couldn’t be happier with the quality of work! Thanks so much guys! Hope to work with you again in the future on another project (maybe the basement ;))

These guys are awesome, straight, professional and very hard working and dedicated to a high quality product. Great communication to so we always knew where the job was at, they cleaned everything up afterwards too and looked after our place.
