I had a disappointing experience with The Empire Group, though Charles ultimately made it right. I hired them to service my family's antique grandmother clock. It worked just fine, and was simply due for maintenance. Charles assured me they would do a better job than their competitors, and then did a worse job. The clock was returned in poor working order 3 times. It took a 4th trip, and a total of seven months, to return the clock in the same working order that it was picked up in. The initial communication was also poor: calls were not returned, receipts not provided as promised...I had to call constantly to get updates and service. Ultimately Charles returned the clock in the same good condition he picked it up in, and refunded his fee, which he did not have to do.
