Window Installation

We contracted A2Z Building Solutions to install 13 windows. The installation started June 23. We were surprised when only one installer came since it was supposed to be a quick job. Over the next month the installer showed up unannounced, late or not at all. The installation was finally finished June 27th. At this time I requested a walkthrough to address some of the concerns we had. There was damage to the drywall in the living room, there were holes between the window and exterior wall large enough to see outside. The kitchen window was pushed out creating a non-square result. The exterior caulking was not complete resulting in a new wasp infestation in the wall around the front window. The walkthrough was booked for the following day. No one showed up for that walkthrough. Nor did anyone call. The walkthrough finally happened on June 29th where I was assured that all the issues would be addressed by the finisher but the finishing would cost an additional 500.00 as it was not part of the installation. We were surprised by this but paid for the finishing on July 5th. The finisher did come and fixed most of the issues but was unable to frame the kitchen window. I was then told someone else would be sent out to deal with that. No caulking was done outside. July 11th the second person asked that we send him pictures of the kitchen window. He said the frame looked terrible but he could tile the wall for us for an additional 750.00. We told him that we didnt want tile, we wanted the frame fixed. Also informed A2Z that the outside caulking for the living room window would now have to wait due to the wasp infestation as the wasps would have to be eliminated first. The rest of the exterior caulking could go ahead. Finisher was scheduled to return July 16th to do the caulking and fix the kitchen window. This was rescheduled until July 21. July 21st that appointment was cancelled and not rescheduled. July 31 I texted to get the date for the caulking and final fix of the kitchen window. Was called back immediately, and told we would have to hire someone else to do it in spite of the fact that the work had already been paid for. Would not deal with this company again in future. Attached are photos taken today of the job.

Approximate cost of services:
$13,500.00
