Kevin's Handyman Services

Hired Kevin to build new outdoor porch stairs and a railing down to the sidewalk. He replied promptly, was patient with my delays and came back when I was ready to proceed. He showed up when he said he would. He offered me a number of options and detail choices. Then the jobs were done quickly and well. There was no 'up-selling, no last minute 'extras' and no pressure to scale up the job.

A second railing to the sidewalk at my side door is still to be done but the concrete there is older and Kevin is looking at options for there, rather than promising he can do it without actually knowing how he was going to do it. That kind of integrity is invaluable.

I had a list 3 pages long of things that needed to be done around the house. Here are the things that make Kevin great:

Great communication. In this type of work unexpected things often come up, and Kevin would always ask before proceeding. E.g. do you want me to do it this way or that way.

Not only would Kevin do great work, but he would also give advice. He would suggest alternate ways to achieve what I had asked him to do. Sometimes I would go with my original idea and sometimes I would use his.

I would 100% hire again.

Kevin was very straight forward with us, gave a reasonable estimate over the phone, assessed the situation on site and updated his estimate accordingly, and was very diligent in the repairs he made.

He included us every step of the way, was very honest and clear about what to expect and did a great job repairing our deck. Well definitely be hiring him again.

Great response to helping me sort out a problem in my condo. He'll be back!!!

Kevin did a great job, removing the old microwave oven and coming back a few days later to install the range hood. He was very patient in installing the range hood even if the existing vent was not aligned to the new exhaust. I would definitely recommend him!

I hired Kevin to assist me with a couple jobs. He was fast and efficient but also took the time to discuss the work and give his best advice. He installed a glass door in one visit which seemed to take him hardly any time. He is very tidy and cleans as he goes. He then installed some new tile in an awkward spot with some strange angles. This was a more complex job but everything turned out great and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Kevin, it was truly a pleasure doing business with you.

While Id really like to keep Kevin a secret because he: shows up when he says hes going to; calls to confirm; does a great job; sticks to his budget; listens and gives good advice - I will instead share him with the HomeStars world to say that the whole experience was excellent.

Assembly instructions accompanying the table were absolutely useless, so we went online to find someone who could help us out.

Kevin, busy elsewhere, responded immediately and arrived in less than three hours. He figured out the assembly and with some gerrymandering had it together in short order.

He was polite and competent. We will avail ourselves of his services again!

First I would like to thank Kevin of Kevin's handyman service. I would recommend Kevin for any job. We initially spoke about what I wanted. That was to tear down the old deck and build a new one. He did just that. We made plan. He's very easy to talk to, down to earth has a lot of great ideas. I needed that. I chose all his ideas like the horizontal privacy fence, looks fantastic. The black metal fence. Looks fantastic. He built us a 12 by 24 deck in about 4days collectively. 2 Saturdays he was here from 7am to 6pm. I'm still just sitting in awe about the work he has done. Please look into hiring Kevin if you are doing any Decks, Drywall, electricial. what ever you need done this man can do it. Best of luck to you Kevin. If I need another project done I will call you.
