AVOID AVOID AVOID! I had a "WETT" chimney / woodstove / fireplace inspection, AND a house building inspection done June 17, 2020 by this company. In November 2020, at the beginning of the Vancouver Island rainy season, I had rain water coming down my chimney into the ground floor of my house. Sean at Highland claimed it was "condensation due to the slow burn in my wood stove". Yup, he made it feel it was all my fault. I had TWO separate chimney companies in to assess the issue and BOTH wondered how it passed WETT inspection in June. The chimney needs to be replaced from the roof up. it will cost thousands of dollars. Rather than giving me the opportunity to use this in bargaining for a better price at the closing, Sean instead took full payment and left me with the "very apparent" problem. I can only wonder what other issues Sean passed in the building inspection on my new home. Per Sean, "There is nothing negative to say about this house". AVOID AVOID AVOID. The guy does NOT have the skill set to conduct the job he claims he is skilled to complete. Absolute Waste of money.
