I have used Handy in the UK for years, and have had an excellent experience with their service. Moving to Toronto, I attempted to use their service three times: twice the booking was canceled on the morning of a morning booking, and the third time the cleaner arrived late, did a poor job, and left early without saying he was leaving. He also left bags of trash on my front steps which were subsequently torn apart by animals.
The customer service feedback loop is opaque, ineffective and impolite. I am genuinely shocked that the quality of service can vary so dramatically from one city to another, especially given the Toronto prices are actually higher than those in the UK for the same services.
