After comparing 6 companies for house cleaning services, we selected The Cleaning Authority in January 2016. They were not the least expensive, but the price for the services listed in their quote seemed reasonable. The first two deep cleans were fine.
Of the remaining 6 cleanings, we had issues with 3 of them. The teams (we had 3 different teams in total) conducting the poor cleans routinely ommitted "Knickknacks individually cleaned" and "Furniture surfaces hand wiped" as listed under both the quote and the "Additional Tasks Performed For Today" form left after each clean. Uncluttered and open areas were not dusted. Most particularly in the Kitchen and one of the bedrooms. The cleaners (2 per team) would spend no more than 1.5hrs (as we were home for two of the three poor cleans) to clean the entire house.
Each time we raised the issue with Raquel, she offered to send cleaners back to address the deficiencies and stated a "note was placed on file" ensuring it wouldn't be repeated. We refused the 1st time as we believed the issue would be addressed in all future cleans. The second time the team failed to complete the work properly, we did have them return. When we asked if they agreed that the deficiencies are part of the scope of work, the cleaning team agreed they were. Further, The Cleaning Authority agreed to perform an inspection after the next clean. The next clean was no better than the previous one. However, no one showed up for the inspection! During a follow-up call, we were advised that both Raquel and Richard were absent during the time for inspection and the original offer to inspect was not transferred to them for action. We tried repeatedly to contact the Cleaning Authority by phone. When we finally did speak with someone, Richard offered a nominal discount off the last cleaning.
We accepted the discount and cancelled the service. We do not recommend them.
