Patricio and the team at The Home Improvement Services did a fabulous job renovating our basement. The job included removing a kitchen, adding a wall, moving a bathroom door, resizing the furnace room, replacing wooden paneling with drywall, boxing in pipework, replacing the floor and some minor electrics. The work took 2 weeks to complete, from start of demolition to completion.

The standard or workmanship, integrity and work ethic shown by Particio and his team was outstanding. I would thoroughly recommend them and will be using them the next time we have any renovations which need completing.

We have had both our kitchen and our bathroom renovated over the years. Both were great jobs but the final costs were from 30%-40% over the final quoted prices.
These contractor's kept coming back with extra costs. Patricio did just the opposite. He actually paid for some extra unexpected costs himself! Contractors charging extra charges over the quoted price seems to be an industry standard. It allows these contract owners or marketing guys to quote you low prices to get the job and then later have the workers make-up extra charges to make a profit. These contractors were small/medium to larger sized companies. The owners, managers and sales/marketing people with these contractors are different than the workers in your house. And all these people have different objectives. In contrast, Patricio and his two close friends have been working together for years. The owner manager Patricio works on the job and he and his partners show pride in their workmanship. I still can't believe the integrity Patricio showed throughout, at every turn. I never once extra charged us (although sometimes I can appreciate that sometimes extra charges are necessary). Never once! And...they had to spend an extra week finishing my basement. That extra week probably cost Patricio's profit. He had to pay his workers for an extra week. He could have cut corners to finish our basement on time or changed extra for "unexpected costs" to make up for his loss of profit on our job but he didn't. INTEGRITY is the key word in this review. I told Patricio he can have anyone come over to see our new basement anytime and talk with us personally. I am recommending Patricio to all my friends. There's not a lot of people around with the integrity that Patricio has. It's was so refreshing. My basement looks great and I now have a contractor for life, for everything. We got lucky.

UPDATE*****
After some time had passed the piping for the shower developed what can only be described as 'water hammer' whenever i try to use the overhead rain shower. I stopped using it and only use the handheld. Now it seems that hammer effect has caused a leak and i have basement water damage and black mold. I am trying to see if there is any warranty from HomeStars. This is going to cost me a LOT of money to fix

A complete Reno of older bathroom. Complete gut job and rebuild from scratch. Most plumbing was moved.

This is the second time that I have used this company. They did a bathroom addition for my mother's home last year and I was very pleased with their work. We hired them to renovate a bathroom in our basement. Patricio was a pleasure to work with. He listened to our requirements and made a few suggestions to help our decisions. He arrived on schedule. Louis and Patricio left a clean jobsite and the end result is a bright modern washroom. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We had this company renovate our master bathroom, removing the tub and installing a walk-in shower as well as new ceramics, toilet, vanity etc. Patricio is was a pleasure to work with, as was Walter and Jennifer. The job was done in five days as promised and looks fantastic. These people are truly perfectionists and strive to make sure you are totally satisfied with their work. Well done! I'll be calling them in the future for the main bathroom.

I hired this company to renovate 2 bathrooms and 1 powder room. They are very honest hardworking people. Very courteous and responsible . Patricio is very knowledgeable and well experienced. Walter is very professional ;he knew what he was doing. They are pleasant and punctual ,They come on time and clean before they leave.Also, they gave me a reasonable price. Patricio was very helpful in suggesting bathroom layout. He was very knowledgeable about appropriate products to be used and the quality of work was very good. He was aware that the bathroom was to be used by a handicapped person and kept safety features in mind. Job was finished on schedule and jobsite was left in clean condition.
