Completed a basement renovation, which included new carpet and baseboards. Didn’t know anyone through referrals, so looked on HomeStars and came across Sam and Safeway. Was a bit reluctant at first not directly knowing someone that used Safeway, but man am I glad I hired them. Sam did an amazing job on the removal, clean up and isntall. He went the extra mile in every way possible and I genuinely wish I had more work for him and his team! The carpet looks and feels amazing and the price was more than fair (especially given all the extra work and attention detail Sam did to ensure the job was done right).

We have 2 bedrooms with parquet that needed some repair, sanding, staining and varnishing. Sam gave us a good quote while Florian did a great job with the repairs and refinishing. Timing went as quoted and planned. As recommended, we allowed the varnish to cure for a week before replacing the baseboards and painting the walls.

We had a great experience dealing with Sam and the team at Safeway Carpet and Flooring. Great price on replacing our hardwood flooring and carpeting and restoring our hardwood staircase. The service was excellent and the final product exceeded our expectations.

Sam always returned texts and calls quickly, and was always up front with the information we had requested (and we had a lot of questions!). He and his partner were extremely pleasant, efficient time wise and project wise, and very tidy - no mess at all when they had finished installing the carpet. They are amazing people, and they did an amazing job!! Please hire them!

Sam at Safeway Carpet and flooring did a incredible job on my carpets. Wanted to get a quote, samples and installed yesterday - and he is a miracle worker and within a week and a half I have a MUCH better looking 2 story loft.

They were very personable and professional. I needed the flooring replaced for health reasons and they were very quick to order and set a time to come and do the job. I have already referred them to family who needs similar work done.

Sam was fantastic from start to finish. He was attentive, knowledgeable and professional throughout the process. There was a communication hiccup along the way (due to Homestars’ glitch) but that could’ve happened with anyone. The quoted rate was reasonable and very fair for the quality of work provided. The bill was also charged as quoted, with no hidden fees. I particularly appreciated that the team was able to accommodate the installation within a short time frame as well.

There were some deficiencies identified after the project was complete but they came back and addressed the issues. The team ripped out laminate and carpet; installed engineered hardwood and shoe moulding; and left the floors very clean! (I was concerned about the amount of dust that resulted from the job, but they really worked hard to clean it up.)

We’d shopped around a few different contractors and they each had something nasty to blindly say about their competitors which made us double back and ask each contractor further questions. Sam was helpful in answering all questions and stood by his quality of work rather than badmouthing other flooring companies.

We were in great hands with Sam and I would highly recommend Safeway Flooring to anyone looking for a turnkey flooring company.

With all of the challenges related to working with COVID restrictions, Sam managed every step of the job in a safe and professional manner right from the first review of the job and quotation to the installation and super tidy cleanup. Sam offered excellent suggestions for carpet selection and colours that best suited our existing decor.

I initially engaged Sam to quote for installing replacement carpet on stairs and in one room but I ended up adding the refinish of the hardwood floor in the living/dining room.

Working with Sam was a pleasure. He was quick to respond and made good recommendations to keep the project within my target budget.
