Bm Garage Door Repair

RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE.

Called a Torrance number for broken springs. When the woman (Vanessa) answered, it was silent (RED FLAG #1). I had to say hello and ask if I was calling a garage door repair number to get any voice response. Was told that it would be $65 per spring, that there would be no late night/weekend labor charge, and that labor would be free. So they quoted me $130 over the phone. They said they'd be out in 1-2 hours.

Upon arrival, the guy (without saying a single word - RED FLAG #2), removes the springs/garage door and then DEMANDS that he would only put the garage door back up if we paid $390. Basically blackmailing us to pay extra to get this done. This was 9pm at night on Saturday.

We manage to negotiate it down to $310, which is RIDICULOUS because they quoted us $130 over the phone. And they claimed that the $310 or so was per spring AND A LATE NIGHT/SATURDAY LABOR EXTRA FEE. Terrible.

We call back the original number we used and suddenly, there's no answer (RED FLAG #3). Call back multiple times and then a man answers. Then suddenly, instead of being a Torrance Garage Door Repair business, they're now claiming they're BM Garage Door Repair! They stick to their absurd $300 quote and are absolutely no help. Slimy people.

Then the garage guy says that we have to pay him directly. As in, address the check to HIM as opposed to a BUSINESS (RED FLAG #4). We were told to address the check to Danny/Daniel. We refuse, demanding an official invoice. THEN we get an email official invoice from Legacy Garage Doors despite initially calling Torrance Garage Door Repairs and getting a guy from BM Garage Door Repair.

This is potentially a whole network of businesses working together to hurt people in their time of need. These 3 groups (if we can even call them different groups. They could be 1 person/group owning all of these) are taking advantage of a home's vulnerability to swindle more money. I hope these people rot.
