Packing up and moving out

Pauline and her team provided exactly the help I needed in a refreshingly capable and considerate manner. With a little direction and instructions from me they were able to sort and pack a one bedroom apartment in one day. Pauline went the extra mile to drop off a specialty donation of quilting supplies where it could be put to good use. Leah did an excellent job packing and labeling family treasures. I have only good things to say and gratitude for their work.

Home packing, moving, unpacking, decluttering, organizing

I went through multiple moves from 2021 to 2023, during a very stressful period of change in my life. Simply Downsizing took a huge amount of worry off of my mind as they helped me declutter and then packed me up with minimal preparation on my part of all my stuff, moved me, partly unpacked me and organized what they unpacked very well. They were very very good at labelling the many boxes so that I could keep track of which stuff had been packed during which move. They also supervised my multiple moves and overall made sure I remained calm, happy and as unstressed as possible. I cannot speak more highly of their services, and if god forbid I ever have to move again, I will absolutely use them.

Clean and stage home for sale, packing contents for move to new home and donated items

Excellent Service from Simply Home Downsizing

Rosalind, is a dream to work with. Bianca and Chloe did an outstanding job staging my condo for sale. Tasteful, current and reasonably priced. Another company wanted to replace all my things, Simply Home harmonized my belongings with theirs. My experience has been fabulous.

Couldn’t Have Done It Without Them

In the summer of 23, a home renovation required us to pack up the house and move out for a couple of months. Pauline and her team helped us sort, de-clutter, pack, and move everything into storage and then the reverse when it was time to move back in. Honestly, we couldnt have done it without them!! They were professional, timely, and so hard-working. They brought all the supplies (boxes, tape, paper, bubble wrap, etc) and at the end of each day, they would take things to recycling, Salvation Army, and the garbage to the dump. In the reverse, they helped me to solution on where best and how to store things (made easier because they knew what we had from the front-end move). I appreciated their enthusiasm, thoughtfulness, and good humour because at times
the work seemed overwhelming!! In the end, for the first time in 20 years of being in our home, I have a garage that I can access; I have a storage room which see-through containers all clearly labeled, I have cupboards and closets that are well organized, and of course, a kitchen that has been de-cluttered and easy to work in. Happy to recommend Simply Home Downsizing. For us, it was money well spent.

Emptying Contents from a House

My 93 year old Aunt had to suddenly vacate her home to move into an Assisted Living Facility. She and my Uncle (who had previously passed away) had lived in this home since 1966.

We hired Flavia from Simply Home Downsizing to empty the contents of the home and once emptied clean it. She provided us with two different options; one involved an online auction and she also recommended a furniture company to purchase some of my Aunt's furniture. We decided to not go with the auction company.

Flavia and her team were able to empty the house in 2 days and also came in under budget! Flavia was very responsive and also kept in touch with me while the house was been emptied.

They also put aside some contents where they thought a family member should review prior to disposing. There were also a few items that we wanted to keep; these were all boxed up and labelled. This included a number of paintings.

The house was sparking clean at the end of the job! The house looked fantastic and was ready to be put on the market for sale.

Great service - I highly recommend them.

Such wonderful, caring owner and staff

Rosalind and her team were top notch the entire time we dealt with them. Clearing out my Mother-in-law's home was a very emotionally charged experience and it could have been very stressful. Rosalind and her team went out of their way to ensure my husband and I were taken care of and had the easiest time possible. From the initial meeting and quote with Rosalind, to the team spending the day packing up the entire house, to the moving team bringing items where they needed to go (donation or our storage locker) - everyone was efficient, cheerful, sensitive, and knowledgeable. We did not have to help - they did it all.
In fact, we even left the house to have some down time and grab some coffee a few times. The entire process took 2 days and this was money well, well spent. Should the need arise, we would not hesitate to use Simply Home again. Thank you Rosalind and team!

The Simply Home Team made moving a breeze!

I needed help downsizing from a house to a condo. Preparing for the 'staging' was terrifying - but Rosalind made it so easy. Her team helped to prepare my home for sale. She arranged the storage of my items and coordinated with the movers both to empty my house once it sold - to arranging for the movers to bring my stored items to my new home. It was worth every penny.

Service

I can't speak highly enough of Rosalind and her team. I moved to another city from a house in Toronto in which i had lived for 30 years. Rosalind's team spent 2 days packing before the move, Rosalind supervised the loading of the moving truck and followed up multiple times after the move to organize both furniture donations and junk removal. She even followed up and ensured that the last parts of the house and grounds were properly cleaned and swept. At all times, both Rosalind and her whole team were friendly, caring and supportive during what was a very stressful event both physically and emotionally. I would recommend them without reservation and with the greatest confidence.
