We have a Dacor fridge that is about 12 years old. While it has been a reliable appliance for us, about 6 years ago it developed a leak in the water system that supplied the ice maker and water dispenser. Since we were not big users of those functions, we simply turned off the water feed and forgot about it. In selling our house, we realized that this is something the new owners may want / expect so we contacted Fix Appliances.
They were very responsive and immediately asked us when they could send a technician. We booked an appointment but then had to reschedule which they were very flexible on.
Dima, the technician, arrived within the first 20 minutes of the appointment "window" which is always appreciated. He quickly got to work - ensuring all COVID precautions - and within minutes had diagnosed the problem. He showed me the crack in a fitting where the water was leaking and explained the next steps. He looked up the part and told me that while the part was no longer being manufactured, he did have one in his truck (fortunately for us).
He quickly went about replacing the part and demonstrated that the water function was once again working.
Dima demonstrated great customer service and was friendly, professional and diligent.
