The grout between our concrete walkway stones was crumbling and deteriorating. Got a few quotes, and Avenue Road guys gave me the most confidence that they could do the job right. Chris took his time and made some helpful recommendations. The mason did a great job and we are looking good as new again now.

My fireplace required repairs before it could be used safely again. I contacted several companies which I found on HomeStars but only one, Avenue Road Masonry, was able to send someone out promptly. Robert came within a few days to review the problems and provide a quote. I was delighted when the work was scheduled two weeks later. Don came to replace some of the brickwork in the firebox, remove the ash clean out and fix the damper. He also pointed out the deficient fireplace floor and replaced it as well. I am extremely pleased with the finished work and look forward to using my fireplace again.

Avenue Road Masonry were great to deal with from start to finish repairing the bricks and bits surrounding a poorly installed and very difficult to get to window, and replacing missing and damaged bricks on the side and back of our 100+ year old home.

We got quotes from main competitors and Avenue Road weren't the most expensive or the cheapest, they were the ones we felt most comfortable with when quoted. As well, their sister roofing company had done our shingles and flat roof a couple of years before, so we were confident in going with them.

My neighbour and I both needed tuck-pointing so Chris worked with us separately, but factored in shared scaffolding for the 2' of space between our houses. For scheduling Robert was was good with planning and updates.

Dan and Greg, who did the tuck pointing, were outstanding on site. They were very clear about what they were doing each day, conscientious about the fact that we work from home, and took COVID precautions. They left the place clear and clean every night and were good about clean up when done. The quality of work was very good, with bricks and mortar that basically disappeared into the side of the house because the match was that good.

Work was completed on time and on budget. We're very happy with and recommend Avenue Road Masonry to others.

Our house has a brick balcony, which had extensive water damage. The bricks were crumbling. Avenue Road Masonry did an amazing job providing expert advice on why the problem occurred, different options on how to proceed, and answered all of my many questions re other smaller issues around the house.
We decided to have the balcony wall lowered, and are extremely happy with the work: it's top notch. On top of quality work, the men were very professional, answered all of our questions, there was no litter or debri left after they finished.
Robert checked in after the work was done to make sure everything is well, and is very helpful with any questions or concerns. Everyone we spoke to to finalize the contract and arrange timing (Sean, Robert) was very responsive and punctual.
