GEM Moving & Storage

Our experience with Tony was unacceptable he was rude, threatening and condescending to me personally and my wife. In addition, they dropped and damaged some of our furniture and so far have not responded to our request for replacement or compensation. One of their movers asked my son to see his cell phone and he proceeded to help himself to a 4 star review rating (never seen such dishonest and despicable behavior). Based on our experience it is difficult to believe any positive review they have posted.

First off, they arrived an hour late, secondly, they had an empty truck with a few blankets and a roll of shrink rap and a single dolly.
We were told that they would disassemble the furniture, pack it up into the truck and reassemble it at the new location.
They did not bring any tools to disassemble or reassemble the furniture.
Fortunately, I had brought my own toolbox in case I needed it and they ended up having to use my tools.

We had paid to rent the elevator at the new location. The elevator was available until 4pm. however due to their slowness, we missed the deadline and ended up paying for more time. We also ended up helping them move some of the furniture ourselves.

There was also damage to some of our furniture.

They charge 90.00/hr. I suppose that's why they took their sweet time in doing things. What should have cost us max, 900.00 ended up to be 1300.00.

Furthermore, when we complained about the bad service and asked for a discount based on the poor service, we were told that unless we pay the full amount, they would not unload the truck.

I hired gem movers for my move today .The guys were very hardworking and professional .They worked so hard in cold rain as I was moving out of condominium and there was time restrictions with closing of my house. They packed everything carefully .Thanks gem movers for saving my day. I will refer you guys to everyone .

I have used GEM mover for 3rd time in the row for their perfect moving services . They are really professional in their work . Guys are very polite and respectful . I have no idea why people put bad reviews about them as i am sure they might be the rival companies . i have recommended they to my family and friends and i will advise anyone looking to move to use their services if you want a perfect moving job without any hustle .

I called the number listed under Hamilton and spoke to Tony who sent me a quote which included all costs (no surprises). On the scheduled date of my move two gentlemen showed up at the approximate scheduled time. I believe their names were Arsh and Harpreet. They were very capable and obviously experienced. Did a great job. Nice guys. The cost was reasonable. I will use them again.

Got fragile stuff taken care of (wrapped, properly packed and transported). Price was reasonable, work was efficient. The whole move was stress free experience. Would recommend this moving company. Thank You
