Working within our budget, they completely repaired and transformed the siding, fascia, soffits, gutters and downspouts of our old house, giving us the fabulous new look and function we were looking for. The quality of the workmanship and attention to detail is unparalleled. While on site, Mark and his team were also complete professionals, attending to every detail, meticulously cleaning up each day and keeping us regularly updated. I had a situation where due to sloping in the backyard it was necessary to have most of the water on the roof come to the front of the house. Consequently the gutters were often overwhelmed in the heavier rain storms.
I was religious about getting the gutters and downspouts cleaned so I knew this was not the problem. I had a couple of companies attempt fixes by adjusting down spout positions but nothing seemed to fix the problem.
I am certainly not an expert on this sort of thing so it came as a surprise when the guys from Ontario Downspout Services suggested that I needed to have 6 inch gutters with larger sized downspouts. No one else had come up with this solution and of course it made perfect sense to me. Since they have been changed we have experienced some of those heavier rains and the system is working so much better.
The guys were so helpful and knowledgeable and that made the whole process so much easier. I would highly recommend their services.

Ontario Downspout Service has just completed a major reroofing job on my house. I am thoroughly satisfied with the job they’ve done and echo the rave reviews of my fellow HomeStars’ reviewers. Mark and his crew worked continuously to get the job done. They had a bin dropped in our driveway Friday afternoon and then started work at 7am on Saturday morning. They worked quietly at getting everything setup and ready, and then at 9am, when the rules allow them to make more noise, the old shingles started flying. It took them a week, working from dawn to dusk to strip off the old roofing, repair any rotten wood, put on new shingles and flat roof membranes (we have two small flat roofs), and redo a deck, some of the facia boards, eavestroughs and downspouts. Every step of the way Mark kept me updated on the progress and asked for my input when needed. When they were finished, they left our property clean and tidy. They even brushed the branches of trees beside the house to make sure nothing was left hung up in the trees. I have a background in construction and the work Mark and his crew did was top quality. I highly recommend Ontario Downspout.

This started as an eavestrough replacement project or so I thought. Mark from Ontario Downspout did a through check of siding and roofing and correctly recommended replacing them all.
I chose Ontario Downspout Services on the basis that they provided all 3 services that I needed (saving me time, money and hassle) and on basis of their stellar reviews on HomeStars. I did not get any other quotes.
My faith in Mark and his crew was rewarded many times over. They were very professional, polite, prompt, friendly and most of all hard working (sun up to sundown each day)! They are a true credit to their profession. Mine is a small house but a huge job which took about 8 days total. There was a lot of demolition (years of decay and poor repairs) before the real work even started.
Mark consulted me on his recommendations and walked me through the process. Other than that, I just let him and his crew do their work. No babysitting required. Just check-ins and progress reports as needed. This is Mark's family business and he was on site working alongside his crew the whole time. He really cares about his work and his clients.
Attention to detail was always top of mind for Mark and crew. No corners were cut. Even cleanup (daily and after the job was done) was immaculate.
You get what you pay for. This is not an inexpensive job no matter how you look at it. Best to get it done right the first time with Ontario Downspout. The improved curb appeal and added value from having proper infrastructure is many times over the cost of the job.

The team came out on a day when rain was possible however they completed the roof before any rain hit.. They came back a second time to replace the flat portion of the garage roof and spent a lot of time on it due to the complexity of the flashing.
I originally used ODS for my eavestrought replacement and I remember being told they are not the lowest price on the market. I was pleased with their work so I used them for my roof. To my untrained eye, the job is excellent and they left the job site clean.

Our project was a complicated 7-day job that included replacing a leaky flat roof and deck, as well as installing new aluminum siding and soffit. Mark and his team were professional and helpful from the planning stages through to installation and completion. Mark took the time to visit the site several times to support us with the design and selection of materials and finishes. When it came to installation, the team continued to consult with us to ensure there were no surprises. The project was started in line with the target date, the team showed up every day on time, finished on budget and within the estimated time frame, and left a spotless worksite every day. They take pride in their work and have incredible attention to detail. Overall, we appreciate Ontario Downspout’s professionalism and quality of work, and would recommend them with zero reservations!

I have never been as happy with a home improvement company as I have been with Ontario Downspout Service. They did my eaves, soffits, and downspouts a few years ago, and I was so impressed with them that they were the first and only company I wanted to do my roof when the shingles needed replacing this year after springing leaks over the winter. ODS came out immediately to do emergency repairs, even though we were not yet under contract to do the roof in the spring/summer.

My roof is complicated in that half of it is peaked, and the other half is flat, like many homes around the GTA. I wanted to do metal for both parts---so as to never have to think about re-roofing again in my lifetime---but Mark (the son in this father-son company), after spending significant time to investigate the best metal configuration to meet my desire to have a long-lasting roof with space for a lot of insulation underneath, wisely advised that metal for the flat part would be a very expensive ordeal, with probably not much gain over a traditional flat roof given the quality of products and guarantee ODS provides for flat roofs. Despite a complex metal roof over the flat half probably gaining him a huge profit, he put my needs first; that is not something that can be said about a lot of companies. So, I went with metal shingles on the peaked half and a traditional flat roof on the flat half, but raised up 4" to insert a lot of extra insulation since the top floor on that side has issues of being very hot during the summer, despite the ceiling being spray-foamed from the inside.

As with the downspouts, Mark and his team were the picture of professionalism during the 4.5 days needed to do this job. They were courteous to us and our neighbors, kept us apprised of their progress and work plans (which were delayed due to unlucky weather), took pride in their craftsmanship, and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of every day. The roof looks fantastic. The metal shingles look like heavily textured high-end regular shingles as opposed to the basic flat panels that most metal roofs have, and the scalloped look of the end caps is gorgeous architectural touch. The flat roof and its 4" of insulation immediately resolved the heat issues on that half of the house.

Every experience I have had with Mark and ODS has been wonderful. They are honest and direct, and don't leave you wondering if you are being taken for a ride. As a handyman and engineer, I know my way around home construction and repairs, and ODS has always treated me and my questions with respect, and never been condescending or patronizing, which is unfortunately more than I can say for many other home reno companies I have worked with (perhaps because I am a woman). I have enthusiastically recommended ODS to all of my friends and neighbors, and that is not something I do often.
