sump pump back-up & old sink drain

Agreed on install time was changed, we were not notified, but we agreed on alternative time and all was satisfactory. Back-up charger unit was not plugged in - a receptacle in the next room was the obvious solution. It was probably a long day for Khem as this job was done late on Friday.
We asked them to help with an old bathroom drain which I had taken apart and couldn't re-install, major work was required, this included an old lead pipe. First repair leaked so they came back the next day and repaired at no extra charge.
Overall a good performance by Everest and I would recommend them based on our experience with them.

Everest set up a time to quote the job promptly. Khem advised and answered questions regarding local plumbing codes and plumbing needs in my house. They were able to fit my job in quickly. Various teams handled different parts of the job, trenching, fitting, filling etc., all in an efficient and timely manner. The work was done when and as agreed, and to cost. Their cleanup was stellar too, no small consideration when folks are working in your house.

Sewer replacement and rough-ins

We had to repour the concrete subfloor in our basement, so while we were at it we had several plumbers in to give quotes on installing rough-ins for a new bathroom. Khem and his team from Everest were quick to get back to us with a quote, which was very reasonable. He suggested putting in a back-water valve as well, which would be covered by a rebate from the city. We agreed to expose the drain and when we did, we found that the main sewer pipe was clay. When they showed up on site, Khem also noticed that the stack was rusted and leaking a bit (that's the joy of a 100+ year old house!). They quoted us a new price for all the work and completed everything within a week, including the inspection. We were always able to get in touch with Khem right away, which was great. One small piece of the rough-in job was missed but they came back to add it right away. The only small issue was that we found the door was left unlocked by one of his guys - who explained and apologized afterward. I would warmly recommend Khem as hard-working and conscientious. Thanks!

Frozen pipes

Woke up this morning to discover our pipes had frozen - d'oh! I guess minus twenty-some odd will do that. Thought I would be missing an entire day's work but no. Khem arrived within 40 minutes. The operation itself took approximately 15 minutes and I was paid up and in the shower getting ready within 20 minutes or so from the moment he arrived.

I realize the price might seem high given the amount of time the job took, but it seems about the going rate - I didn't find it outrageous, at any rate. Regardless, Khem was wonderful, and provided some helpful tips as to how to avoid the problem in the future. Would call again (though hopefully won't have to) and not hesitate to refer other to him. Thanks Khem!

frozen pipes

Khem from Everest came out today to help unfreeze the frozen pipes due to the weather and ultimately get the water flowing again throughout the entire house. 7 day ice storm freeze out caused cracked pipe in ceiling. Called at 7 pm Saturday night and got service back by 10:30. Nice guys, fantastic turnaround. Ask for Khem Bohora.

Stack/Drain replacement and Bathroom Rough-in

After some great work the week before I had Khem and crew come back to rough in a 2-piece bathroom in our basement. After some excavation is was quickly determined that since we were already breaking concrete it would be best to replace drain pipes and the stack as well to prevent problems in the future. Though adverse to scope creep, I trust Khem's judgement and am thrilled with the results. Basement was spotless when i returned with concrete poured smooth and level. The total job was completed within the timeline provided and on budget. Along the way I requested some changes that required laying drains twice. Khem and crew were quick to comply without any fuss and no additional charges were levied. Once again, Everest proves to be very reliable and professional in all plumbing and drain needs. Thanks for the help on such short notice, Khem.
