AGM Renovations

Our experience with the project with AGM was great and seamless from sales to final completion. Warren, the sales rep was very helpful to us understanding the price, process and timelines. Daisy was very helpful in the design stage making many useful suggestions. Saba managed the project very effectively, keeping ongoing communications throughout the project so we were updated on a timely basis. The process of communicating days and timelines was well coordinated among Saba and the trade workers. The demo/tiling/electrical and plumbing by Aziz's team was top notch and professional. Harmon did a fine job installing all of the cabinets. The project was finished well within the timeline expected. Overall, this project really transformed our kitchen into a more functional kitchen with more cabinet space and a large island.

I would not trust AGM with a cent of your hard earned money.
We booked a full kitchen renovation with AGM and work began in sept 2022, after demolition we were left without a kitchen for 2 months (completion was an estimated 5-8 weeks) then work finally began.
Over the following several months we were subjected to a rude and incompetent project manager who we had to hound constantly to get anything done, several of our cupboards were built the wrong size, several of which were rebuilt wrong again and one of them took 4 times being rebuilt before it was finally done right. The drawers had to all be redone as they began breaking due to poor build quality. currently we still have a drawer that makes a scraping noise the cabinet manufacturer says is due to the whole cupboard being out of square.
The electrical was done poorly and after live wiring was left floating in a wall and the project manager told us the "master electrician" says its fine we were forced to involve the ESA to get things fixed properly.
The night the sink was installed and we were told we were all set to use it it caused a flood because the vent on the air line had not been installed but they "figured it would be ok" so told us to go ahead.
No lockbox was provided for the contractors to get in despite it being stated there would be and repeated we got abrupt calls from the project manager asking if anyone was home because a contractor was on the way. We asked for months that garbage be removed from our garage despite it being stated that would be removed regularly. damaged caused to our hallways etc was quickly and poorly patched and left that way despite a promise of "it will be like we were never here" and many many more issues.
Finally in September 2023 AGM decided our project is complete. Nothing has been signed we were offered a pitiful refund and when I suggested a counter offer all contact has ceased.
Every step after booking the reno has been truly terrible with some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would avoid this company at all costs.

This is more of a warning than a review, Earlier this year we had a bathroom reno by AGM . The only thing they are good at is aggressive marketing and relying on Mike Holmes endorsement to suck you in, I don't know where all the 10 star reviews are coming from,
The initial part was fine , they tell you how all their contractors are vetted and all are licensed and how they used tried and proven product so they know it will last, They tell you how the quoted price is locked in , no matter what unseen thing happens price won't change, That all changes after you sign the contract and meet your designer, all of a sudden everything is an add on, from wall outlets, the half wall, staggered tiles, linear drain ect ect,
It hasn't even been 6 months , but honestly it was never nice to begin with ,it needs more work now after 6 months than our 20 year old original bathroom they just replaced needed after 20, , poor workmanship is being nice, AGM is all right there when they want your money and for you to sign the contract, as soon as you sign it goes downhill and fast, When you need them nothing, they ghosted us for a month before finishing, They don't reply to E-mail's , phone calls always go to message and they never reply. We had concerns about the work being done and we told them on the mid job inspection, The repairs done where worse than original complaint, We had chipped tiles so to remove 1 chipped tile they chipped 2 on either side and left those in place ,then new tile is so twisted and out of alignment , Honestly if you do this as a job you should be proficient at cutting baseboards or drywall, not this guy, even two vanity mirrors aren't level, it was visually off,
The contractor didn't even have a tile wet saw so there are a few tiles chipped on the cuts, small wall about 2 feet doesn't even have one straight edge, toilet is crooked, vanity was damaged yet still installed, one drawer was broken and deep scratches on it, under the sinks there are big holes where drains and water lines come through, one sink is full of glue that won't come off, our driveway is covered in paint, grout and foot prints, They caused damage to 3 adjacent rooms this is just a small list I could keep going all day, It's not even been 6 months now all the tried and proven long lasting product they claim to use is all cracking and splitting open,
When they ran into plumbing issues their QC guy Mathew was sending me daily emails for about 2 weeks that he wants to come and have us sign off on the work, Now they can't fix the problem they caused, I told the contractor to call AGM send a plumber to solve this, he refused, I replied to Mathew and said I am not signing off until it's done, his response was, you can get it done under warranty, If I'm not mistaken every warranty claim item is 350 dollars you have to pay, for each item,, This bathroom for me to be satisfied needs to be gutted and completely redone, by a qualified contractor,
So knowing AGM will respond saying to call our customer serv , you had every opportunity to resolve this, but instead of offering us any discount or fix, You E-mailed me to say your final payment has gone to collections and we added 3500 for us not abiding by the contract,, a contract that AGM did not hold up any part of, We sure didn't get this luxury bathroom we were promised, Their contract is written to dissolve them of any wrong doing, read the fine print, It also says client has to provide storage for all product and keep the house humidity at set levels, and their guy during a heat wave left our front door wide open all day every day and even removed the windows and screens in that bathroom , then he left for day without closing the door, He never even cleaned up the garage in the end, I cannot express enough how bad this entire ordeal was,

The renovation work AGM has done for us in our basement is of great quality at a price that we were very comfortable. The design and layout has worked out great for us and it leaves us with a spacious basement to enjoy! All the trades people were very professional and great to work with. If ever there will another renovation project in our home again, AGM will be our first choice!

We hired AGM again this time for kitchen renovation. Like the basement finishing project, this too has been a great experience. Kitchen has turned out amazing and we all love it!

We love our new bathroom! Our experience dealing with AGM for this project has been great. There were no surprises! The work progressed exactly as planned and was completed on schedule. We were regularly updated by the assigned project manager regarding the upcoming schedule of work. The bathroom has turned out beautiful finally and we love it!
