Our family has been using Shona for a couple of years now, and we have done various Projects, including decorating the family room and living room, updates to the kitchen, and a full renovation of our en-suite bathroom. Shona brings lots of practical ideas and tunes-in to your style to make great suggestions. She is able to make both simple suggestions and improvements, as well as help you tackle designs for larger Projects. In general, we have been pretty happy with her ideas and suggestions. She provides access to contractors, plumbers, cabinet makers, flooring experts and everything you need to pull together a Project. We were happy with almost all of the contractors. She diligently follows-up to make sure you are happy, takes your satisfaction to heart, and is mindful of keeping your project on track and spurring everyone into action. Most of her regular contractors are very good, except a couple times we felt we needed to pay more attention to whether it was getting done right but Shona remained always diligent about pushing everyone in the right direction.

- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Just like most other home renovation and contractor jobs, there needs to be more detail in the contracts and explanation of how the work will get executed. Contractors always have a clear idea of what they are going to do but never really outline options or give you enough information to develop your own opinion. When spending a lot of money, you want to know you are getting the job done right. Take your time and ask questions, be insistent on getting answers.
