Despite some trouble starting the job, we have ended up being happy with the outcome. The painters paid excellent attention to detail - there is not a smudge of paint anywhere it shouldn't be. They were on time, worked hard and cleaned up each day. One thing that really impressed me was that when I gave the final cheque to the owner, he did not even look at the amount - very trusting.

- What could this company do to improve their services?
- I understand that companies want to extend the year for exterior painting as much as possible, but they should be careful about booking jobs that they are not sure they will be able to complete due to weather and other bookings.
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Make sure that you include details in your contract, including the number of coats of paint that you want applied. We did not make this clear in the beginning and there ended up being only 2 coats of paint on the trim - with the result being nice, but not exactly the colour I had expected in the beginning (colour swatches usually represent 3 coats).

Thank you Joanne for your review and honesty with respect to the painting project. I'm assuming your comment regarding some start trouble would imply to our late start date due to our back log of clients. Possibly we did not explain throughly there would be back log due to weather and time co-ordination had much play in the delay of your start date.
We were constantly in contact with you thru phone and emails explaining our delay and also through out the painting project we were on site daily.Even after the painting was completed we made sure we came to see any deficiencies you found - and other than a minor one we have completed all your requests.
As for paint coverage on the siding we went from a light colour to a very dark chocolate brown which I did explain it would not cover in 2 coats but would require 3. Even still we had to re-paint areas applying 4 coats.
I'm glad through the painting process you were able to understand our reasoning behind our methods of painting and your co-operation was greatly appreciated.Karin Vistoli
