We live in a detached home built in the 1930s. The kitchen was too small and the adjoining dining room was dark and little used. We wanted to remove the wall between them and design the two areas so that they would not only integrate with each other but with the rest of the house. Stacey provided us with preliminary sketches that showed a spectrum of options, which was very helpful in terms of refining our choices. Her final design was precisely what we wanted -- one that respected our home’s character while providing a more functional and inviting kitchen/dining area. Over the years, several of our neighbors (whose homes have the same layout as ours) have used the same approach in remodeling their own kitchen/dining areas.
