Rachid and his team did a fantastic job on our bathroom renovation. They were professional every step of the way, demonstrating skill, craftsmanship and creativity. The work quality is top notch with careful consideration and planning. They were punctual, hard working, neat, a pleasure to have in our home from start to finish. We had been looking to finish our basement for the past year and finally after sifting through many reviews on Homestars, we contacted 6 different companies to provide us with a quote. Domilya Group was the fourth company to quote. We were immediately very comfortable with Rachid; he was just the nicest person, very friendly and professional, and it was obvious that he was genuinely passionate about what he does. He spent a lot of time with us, taking measurements, answering all of our questions, showing us pictures, and giving us design ideas. He also explained in detail the materials he used and why and showed us pictures of some correct and incorrect ways to build/install certain things which enabled us re-review previous quotes more closely and to ask more intelligent questions of the contractors that came in after him.

A couple other things that set Rachid apart from the rest were that he:
Showed us all his licences without us asking.
Included building permits as part of his quote (did not try to pass off proper permits as “optional” or try to discourage them - many others did - which gave us more assurance us that he is an honest person and confident in his work).
He also did not ask us anything about how many other quotes we got and what other prices we were quoted etc. (always awkward questions for homeowners and it showed he stood by the value he knew he would provide for the price).

The work included open concept living area, installation of new 3 piece washroom, and laundry area. Heba was very kind and patient and came over in advance to explain the how the process would go and to make sure all our questions were answered. Andre, and Nav were also very professional, meticulous, and clean. We really felt like everyone was fully invested in the project. We were always welcome to check out the progress. If, along the way, the team thought of a different idea for layout or materials that they thought would suit the space better we were always informed and asked about our preferences, even if it would mean that they would have to undo some of the work they’d already started. They worked a few late nights and weekends to ensure everything would get done in their 3 week timeframe and we were always comfortable with them coming and going even when we were not home.

We’re so happy with the final product and are incredibly grateful to Domilya for the beautiful new space and the stress-free renovation experience we had. We will definitely recommend this company to others. ~Andrea & Viresh

A few years back my husband and I decided to purchase a home best described as a "diamond in the rough". We knew it would eventually need work. Like most families we decided to wait...and to dream...knowing that we would get around to fixing it up and revealing our home's true potential.

Five year's later we were still living in the same home and things were really starting to show wear and tear. That's when we met Rachid and the Domilya family. Friends of ours used Domilya for a project and were very happy with the service so we decided to call. Our job was fairly large in scale and we did not have the option of relocating our family during construction. We needed to demo the old kitchen and flooring and open up walls. We installed new ceramics, wood flooring, fireplace and mantel, kitchen cabinets, back splash, moldings, fresh paint throughout etc. This was almost a first floor remodel.

From day one my husband and I felt extremely comfortable working with Rachid. He was easy to talk to and discuss design options with. He was knowledgeable of products and provided contacts we could use to price out our options. Rachid and Nav were always efficient, organized, clean and committed to the project. They provided us with daily goals and gave us detailed reports at the end of the day. The attention to detail was very good. When issues came up Rachid was quick to find solutions that met our expectations and budget. We always felt like Rachid was invested in the project and wanted the final product to be a success... and it was.

Domilya group as always did a terrific job on my basement renovation project. Rachid's crew were clean, punctual, professional, and amazing in what they did. They have even moved all my furniture, boxes, etc int the original location. they cleaned up. After they left, basement was ready to use, not needing any cleaning!

My husband and I are two busy professionals with a busy family, we needed an efficient, time committed and hardworking contractor and we found this with Domilya Group. Rachid is fantastic, he is honest, trustworthy and very conscious of timelines. As a contractor he took care to ensure he completed all work on time. Our entire kitchen renovation was completed in three weeks, no delays. Rachid and Nav, in particular are really easy to talk to, to clarify what was happening. I was at work all day and when I came home they gave me a full briefing. They were like part of our family. They ensured they cleaned up the area around the kitchen everyday. The quality of their work is exceptional. Patricia who designed the kitchen is also brilliant, she is meticulous and very detail oriented. Patricia listens to your needs and wants. She really works hard to ensure that you get what you paid for and stick to your budget. I had no idea how to go about renovating my kitchen and she helped me daily with the process. She goes above and beyond what is required. Her time is yours throughout the design process. Everyone associated with Domilya Group met all the timelines. Jag from Aya Kitchen brought us incredible cabinets. These people are so professional and dedicated! When I called their number on Homestars I had read the reviews and picked them and I'm so glad I did. They will be my contractors for many projects to come! Thanks to you all!

I was shopping around for quotes and availability to get 2 of my bathrooms renovated and boy was I glad to have come across the Domilya Group. They were very easy to work with and very reasonable price wise. They worked around both our budget and time constraint ( we are expecting a baby). The final product was amazing and so was the team that worked on it………highly recommended!

I sent an email and received a call back within a few days, from Heba. Heba is lovely and so kind. She asked some preliminary questions about the scale of the job and then arranged a time for Rachid to come by and look at our bathroom for a quote. He was prompt and on time. Rachid is very friendly and easy to chat to and quite confident in the quality of his work. His confidence and recognizing it was our main bath, was the only contractor to promise to complete the job in 5-7 days (barring no hidden disaster and thankfully we have a small powder room). He and his crew would work late if needed to get the job done within the timeline promised. The quote was higher than the mid-price person, but we felt confident it was worth the added expense to have our bathroom completed in a shorter time frame.
Contracts were signed and a date was booked. The really nice touch, one week before the schedule date, we received an email from Heba, with a look forward to starting the project next week. Before the project started, I had a list of questions and concerns I sent off to Heba. She was answered all my questions, and assured me, everything will be fine and not to worry as Rachid will walk us through and keep us informed every step of the way. She was so right and they are a great team!
Once the bin arrived from Roadrunner Bins, I just knew everything was going to be all right. The condition of Neil’s bin was fantastic! I had to complement on the wonderful condition of his bin and truck. It was not some dilapidated thing, held together by a hope and more hope. It was in great shape, and clean. Neil double checked where we would like the bin positioned in the driveway. Even when he came to pick up the bin, he swept the driveway all around the bin area. Neil – very professional and knows about service and more importantly, having pride in his work. Top notch!
Rachid’s and his crew of Nav and Andrew arrived shortly afterward and went to task on the job. They put contractor cloths down the stairs, closed all the bedroom doors to help keep the dust down. The attention was there, to help keep try and keep the dust at bay. The fellows are super polite and just a great bunch of guys. Before long we realized, it was not going to be a stressful project at all. They always tried to keep things as neat as possible and worked well together. They all bring different skill sets and worked well together.
We were kept in the loop with every stage in how we would like things arranged, explained the materials they were using in the tub surround area. Even little hiccups were not a big deal. We talked out options and came to a result together where everyone was happy. It felt very collaborative versus us becoming uncomfortable and looking for problems. I dreaded the idea of picking a paint colour, and simply let Rachid have free reign with the colour (as long as it was not yellow). They picked a great paint colour and we were thrilled. Rachid along with Nav and Andrew, worked hard each and every day. Rachid kept the job on track, and together with his crew worked late some evenings and was much appreciated by our family.
If you understand and want quality, they are definitely the team to hire. It is the little things differentiate the good to great. Coming to the job, prepared to work, neat, clean, and looking professional with a company uniform shirt. I had previously worked in 5 star hotels, where offering professional and courteous service, was our mantra. Everything had to be exceptional and standards were high, because that is who you represent and are proud of being part of a special place that few get to work let alone experience. Domilya Group shares the same philosophy.

I would not hesitate to recommend them for any work that needs to be completed. The bathroom was completed in the timeline promised and we can’t believe we finally have such a beautiful bathroom. We are very pleased with the work that Rachid has done in our home. There are not many contractors that call you back, meet with you as planned, start the job and finish the job on time. That speaks to the business ethics that Rachid exemplifies. As for the work, it was done to perfection. There is nothing that we look at and say we wish we would have chosen differently. When we did question something, Rachid gave us his honest opinion even though it would have meanta fair bit of rework on his part. We have been very impressed with how knowledgeable he is in all areas and provided us with very valuable suggestions and opinions.
