Very Good Service

I read some review here, I respect all of them. My experience with this company is really good. Here is my story: I filled up online form and asked quote from Jasper to Edmonton Alberta. I got lots of phone call s and e-mails. I checked many companies and I booked one of them. Basically when I searched, I didn't find any bad review about that company, it looks to good to me. Anyway, they took my deposit. I have 12000 lbs shipment. After I booked, I called them and tried to ask couple questions? Guess what? Nobody answer my phone calls, and it says mail box full. I tried 3 days , no answer, sent them e-mail, no answer. I checked their website, they are in Toronto and basically one of the Toronto company. Even they don't have an office in Alberta. They book, take your deposit, disappear. 2 days before my pick up date, I found local Alberta company Real Canada Wide Moving. I booked with them, they came for pick up Sep.08th at 9.45 am. driver and 2 helpers. Except driver other 2 guys they don't speak good English, but they are hard worker. They packed and loaded truck very fast, and they finished my pick up 6.30 pm. I really got surprise, how they did good job during my pick up. Next day Sep.09th at 11.30 am they showed up my Edmonton home. By the way, during my pick up I called Real Canada office, they all the time open their phone and answered my questions, good communication, I like it. They finished my delivery around 3.30 pm. They did very good job, and I'm also happy their services as well. My experience is, go with Local Alberta company, at least you can go see their office, or talk with them face to face, much better. If I move again definitely I will use them again.

Worst Company Ever!

- Changed drop off times and dates on me, four times
- Driver was rude and condescending and yelled at, threatened and hung- up on me throughout my 2 day ordeal. Favorite sentences, "Not my problem" and "what do you expect".
- Manager Dave, told me they are not a pizza delivery company and if I don't comply, they will take my stuff back from Vancouver to Edmonton and I will have to figure it out for myself. Also threatened me with legal action when I will be the one pursuing it. 100%
- Unprofessional moving tactics such as adding extra fees after the fact and saying that it looks like I can afford it.
- Threatening to put my stuff in storage, threatening to leave my stuff on the side of the road.
- Brought the wrong size truck and expected me to come up with a solution and fund that solution, when they knew I was moving into a highrise downtown Van, and should have been properly prepared.
- Broke stuff. Brought wrong stuff in (other people's stuff). Super slow and wasted the elevator time slot and had to come back a second time, but then wanted to charge more.
- Ended up not even getting most of my stuff. After they spent 2 hours moving in one mattress, 2 boxes, some pictures and my tv's, they told me I would be charged more to move the rest and wanted the money up front before starting, the following day. I told them to pound sand and that I would give them the money when they were finished. We couldn't resolve it, and they ended up keeping my stuff because I refused to pay up front as well as extra for their mess up.

Company Response

Now, You have to tell the truth? Did you try to manipulate driver, before he gets payment, did you get half of your shipment? Do you think that you are the smarties people in the world? You have to pay your balance full before we offload your shipment. What did you do, you tried to get shipment with out pay any cents? Do you think that everybody stupid and only you are smart? Why you didn't pay your balance, and told driver you will give money after your delivery done?Did you try to get full your shipment with out any payment? Do you know driver will lose his job the reason of you and your husband? You pushed him offload your shipment and not paying any cents? And he trusted you guys and did mistake and offloaded half of your shipment.

I recommend it read your contract carefully. PAYMENT TERMS: Driver must collect certified cheque, money order, bank draft or cash before VAN is unloaded.

We did your pick up from Edmonton(even you were not there, did full pack) brought to you Vancouver. And you tried to fool our driver, and with out payment get half of your shipment. Sorry, we are not stupid, you can cheat only a poor driver who lost his job the reason of your action.

It's very simple pay your balance and get rest of your shipment.

Moving Calgary to Montreal

I moved from Calgary to Montreal. My employer recommended to contact an "X" Moving Company and they provided an estimation of 10.500$ CAD. So I found Canada wide moving searching online and the final price was 3.500$ CAD.

In Summary:
Good: Nice employees, good attention and good service, very good deal (price $$).
Bad: Very long waiting, they offered between 10 and 14 working days but it ended up in a month. Many pieces were broken or scratched, an entire box of pottery arrived broken even if we marked as Careful - Glass - Fragile.

Conclussion: this company is OK if you have budget limitations and can wait for your stuff. If you have enough funds or your employer is paying your relocation, you can find find better offers I guess.

Worst moving company Thugs with Rude attitude

Well they didn't did scale for my stuff at all and now they want to charge us with just a guess. On the top of that if we want to do rescale it's $400 extra. And they do charge you for extra 300 pounds by saying that stuff looses weight in moving from Alberta to toronto lol bcz it's moving from cold to hot place. ( in the month of June). As it's already mentioned in one of review the lady name Gabriel is so rude and unprofessional. She doesn't want to hear anything. Still I am waiting to get my stuff. If things will go worse thn may be I will be forced to consider a civil lawsuit against this company.

Not happy

Do not deal with these people! Expecially if your talking to Gabriela! You have to chase her down for you invoice, then you have to chase her down to get a date on when your stuff gets delivered and she makes promises that she cannot keep. Go with a different company

$1000 lost in move

I moved from northern Alberta to the greater Toronto area in October, and this company was an absolute nightmare. The company LOST OVER $1000 WORTH OF MY STUFF in the move. The only item that was ever found was my guitar, which was only found when I sent a friend to the office in Edmonton to look around. The remainder of my missing items was over $800. After filing my claim, I had no follow up from the company and was calling regularly to ask about their progress. The claims department does not respond to phone calls and I would only get email responses after calling a couple of times and asking them to respond. When I finally did get a response from claims (this was 2 months after my move), Tony gave a haphazard weight for my missing items x $0.60 per pound minus the $350 deductible, and told me I would receive nothing for my claim. Eventually he offered me $100 for my trouble, and I was able to eventually get $200 returned. The customer service I received from Tony was extremely rude, and he literally told me this was not his problem.
Additionally many of the boxes that did arrive were smashed and broken. My quote stated that disassembly of large furniture was included, however the men that arrived adamantly denied this and did not bring a single tool. I waited all day for them to arrive on the day I was moving and got a call at 4pm saying they did not have enough space and would come in the morning. I was able to convince them to come because I was leaving the next day, and they showed up with a half empty truck with more than enough space. I was informed that my things had arrived in town, but could not be delivered for another week, and could only be delivered at one specific time.
