High Tech Appliance Service

On Saturday afternoon I came back home from an extended vacation and found that our fridge had stopped working while we were away. It was hot inside both the fridge and freezer and most of our food was spoiled, but I wanted to repair the fridge ASAP so I used both the Yellow Pages and online and called all around to the local repair shoppes. I called about 7 local places before I called High Tech Appliance, and although they are downtown Toronto (quite far from me) I called anyway because I had read a few good reviews. I got an answer right away and Atiar told me that he had another job in my area anyway (I would be the 2nd one), so I made the appointment, which was for ~7pm. To my amazement their technicians showed up before 6pm and had fixed the fridge and were out the door before 6:30pm, and although the cost was a bit higher than I had expected (based on reviews), the little extra I paid for the special 'service' of coming in early on a cold Saturday evening was likely worth the few extra dollars, especially since they also provided a bit of an extension on their standard 30 day warranty as part of the deal.
I would recommend them to anyone who likes service with speed by knowledgeable and courteous techs.

Our oven stopped working on boxing day with guests coming for dinner on new year's eve. I called High Tech on a Sunday morning and Atair was able to come the same day - and was even accommodating about the appointment time, since I had to be out of the house for a few hours in the middle of the day. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly and fix it - he said if it happened again, the oven element would need to be replaced. The price was reasonable and the work was guaranteed for 30 days. Atiar was friendly, polite and helpful with other questions I had. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Professional from start to finish. Atiar answered the phone when I called - a nice touch compared to leaving messages and playing phone tag. Atiar showed up with an apprentice and they diagnosed the problem in ten minutes. He said it would be 2 days until he could return with parts but I asked him to try for sooner. He called a few hours later and said he was on his way and the repair was done same day. AWESOME!

My fridge broke down on me while blackout was happening. needless to say, I was trying to get it fixed as soon as possible so I got on homestar looking for someone capable of providing service. After several failed attempt to get someone to answer to phone, Atiar picked up my call right away. He was very accommodating to come over through crazy condition of the road on appointed time to identify the faulty part. And behold! My fridge was up and running within 20 mins!! Also he provided free inspection on my dishwasher and recommend that it will be cheaper to replace it. I'll definitely call him on for installation for that!

The lights on our range hood fan went out so when I called around most companies were unhelpful: they don't service the brand or don't repair range hoods. Instead Atiar quickly called me back, asked a few questions and said he can come out to asses what is wrong. He quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and called when he promised he would to provide an update on the status of the part. Once he had it, he came out within 1 day (just before Christmas too) to install it. Within 20 minutes he had it running perfectly. During the whole time he was quick, courteous and professional with a reasonable price. I will definitely be using him again.

My washing machine broke down with a load of wet clothes inside it. Ew. It was a Sunday afternoon and I was sure I wouldn't get anyone to come fix it until the next day. But when I called Hightech, they were at my door in about an hour. Atiar figured out the problem in minutes and fixed it quickly and efficiently. I haven't had any trouble since. Thank you! I will definitely call again with any other appliance issues.

Attar responded to my initial inquiry immediately. Within an hour of my first call, he came to my house, pulled the defective part, to have it refurbished. Way cheaper than the large company recommended by Frigidaire. And, the stove was working before the big company would have arrived to do an estimate.
