Ofer, Jeremy and Jeff have done great work. From our first meeting, years ago, the team has displayed complete professionalism. The pricing has always been fair, they never cut corners and are personally present every step of the way - which gives comfort. In the end, the job was beautiful, it's lasted pristine till this day, and they are an honest company.

I have even counted on Land-Con to work at my Mother's house, and they have been there for years.

I've had contractors fumble the costs and time frames - Land-Con was solid.

I had a nice experience with Landcon. A friend of mine used them for their backyard landscaping and I hired them to do my front driveway and some other landscaping. Jeff provided me with a detailed quote outlining all the aspects of the job. Their price was fair, not the cheapest but not extraordinary. There were no hidden charges or anything at the end like I have found when working with other companies. Jeremy and his staff of workers did a great job with the actual work on the job. An absolutely fantastic experience, Jeremy and Ofer came in with a very competitive quote and did an excellent job! They kept my wife and I in the loop the whole way along, at the end the interlocking looked great and the price was great also! I hired land-con after seeing the beautiful landscaping job they did at the National Blooms home and garden show in Toronto for the Dream Home Exhibit. After seeing the exhibit, I was certain they would do an amazing job esthetically, but as with most construction companies, you always worry about the job taking too long, the customer service, etc.

From the moment I got my quote, I knew I would look no further. Ofer was so knowledgeable and could answer every question I had with the drop of a hat. He didn't push, and was not aggressive to get me to sign, which I liked. I already got a few slightly cheaper quotes before calling Land-Con, and although Land-Con was a bit pricier, Ofer seemed so trustworthy and I believed him when he told me that I would get higher end service and product if I chose them.

The morning the job started, the crew was at my house super early. They were respectful, all dressed in construction vests and extremely professional. By the time I got home that evening, I was in shock as almost the entire driveway was almost done. They worked quickly and efficiently. They later did a patio in my back yard with a beautiful waterfall and a retaining wall. At the end of the job they cleaned up beautifully. I couldn't believe such a large job only took them a week! (you always hear the horror stories of companies starting and not finishing or showing up again for weeks)

Please trust me, you get what you pay for. We opted to pay a bit more for craftsmanship and professionalism, and we go it.

My husband and myself recently hired Land-Con to do our driveway. Jeff did a great job with our quote and explained everything with great detail. We have added a few changes along the way. Jeremy has been great and expalined to us that these changes will obvously reflect the final price, just so there are no misunderstandings. We heard about Land-Con through my CEO who also hired them and who saw their amazing interlocking work around the Dream Home at the Toronto International Home Show. Great,Professional and worth EVERY penny!!!!!

I hired Land-Con to replace a walkway and an asphalt driveway at my home. Jeff, who provided the quote, was very pleasant and the company was able to work with my schedule, and they started on time. However, I was not very happy with the work. I had to ask them to come back several times to fix things that were out of level or incomplete, and I finally gave up and fixed it myself when they asked for more money. On this job, they did all of the things that people hate about contractors - Jeremy failed to show up for a meeting with me, and then one of his guys showed up when they had not told me that he was coming. All-in-all, not a good experience and I would stay away from this company.

With respect to Jeremy's response indicating that I asked for work that was not included in the contract, it is important to understand that the contract included replacement of a basement window well and re-grading of a garden bed in which the window well was located. I spent quite a lot of time explaining to Jeff how the basement had been waterproofed using an interior membrane and that the waterproofing system performed very well; but that water was gathering in the window well and that this drainage problem needed to be fixed. Instead, Land-Con replaced the bricks around the window. At the first heavy rainfall, water pooled up in the window well even more than before, to the extent that it ran right through the window and onto the basement floor. I sent a picture of this to Jeremy but he denied that addressing the drainage issue was ever part of the contract and asked for an additional $1,650 to fix the drainage issue. When I dug out the window well myself, I found that Land-Con had in fact installed two layers of impermeable plastic in the window well, separated by about a foot of soil. This plastic prevented the water from draining away into the waterproofing system. Thus, not only had Land-Con not fixed the drainage issue, they had actually made it much worse. The good news is that for what Land-Con was going to charge $1,650 to fix, I was able to fix myself in about two hours, using less than $50 in materials.

Ofer and the team did a great job on the backyard renovation. No matter how many questions we asked or suggestions we made the crew was always helpful and polite. They were here when they said and worked hard all day. There initial quotes and plans were detailed and although not the lowest or the highest of bids - they were the most responsive and eager for business. Great work

My husband and I are extremely satisfied with the work done by Land Con on our porch, driveway and walkway. The quote was sent by email, with very clear prices and fees. They made all of the changes we requested with efficiency and responded so quickly to all my emails and calls. Scheduling was quick and the work was done in three days! The crew was great to work with, and answered all of our questions. Very efficient and detailed oriented! One of the owners Ofer would come two or three times a day to supervise the work and make sure everything was perfect. And it was! We are definitely using Land-Con in the future. Land-Con really came through for us, as we had just bought a new house that required significant landscaping (900 square face feet of retaining wall and a 1,700 sqft driveway). Initially, we got proposals from 8 different companies of varying size, including Land Con.

Their proposal was not the least, but it was far from the most expensive. We chose them based on the level of detail they provided in their proposal, their willingness to work with us, their credentials (They actually have certification for retaining wall construction) and their 5 year warranty on all work.

They started very quickly after we came to terms. They were literally at work by 7:30am, every morning of the project and, barring bad weather, generally kept going until 7pm. They went to extremes to keep our neighbors happy, including doing an excellent tidy up after work each and every day.

All in all, it was really one of, if not THE most pleasant experiences we have had working with a contractor (and we have had many over the years). We actually miss seeing Matt and Jeremy every morning and every member of their crew was really great to deal with. I am looking forward to having them come back and do our backyard next year. Sorry Jeremy, it won't be as big a project as the front, but we can't think of having anyone else do the job at this point.

Ofer and his team are absolutely incredible. If HomeStars would allow us to give an 11 out of 10, LandCon would definitely get it!

Our project included a backyard flagstone patio, with a curved natural stone sitting wall and a natural stone built-in BBQ. They also completed a walkway in the backyard running on the outside of the stone sitting wall. Ofer is one of the owners and is easy going and amazing to deal with. He gave us a start date and began two days ahead of this date; he committed to an end date and finished ahead of schedule. Our job had a lot of natural stone work where skilled people are critical. His guys (Gino, Steve, Sammy and the rest of the crew) were not only friendly but EXTREMELY skilled, knowledgeable and efficient. They would start early (8am) and work late (which in my case was a huge PLUS as I really needed this project completed on time). Pricing was also very fair compared to similar quotes.

I took a chance with LandCon as I never used them before; I found them from signage in my area of landscape jobs they had completed in Forest Hill. I’m so happy I took the chance with them. The job was completed approximately 2 weeks ago and we love it! I’ve called Ofer back for a few minor items (replacing some SOD which didn’t take, mortaring a small area in the stone work); each time I called him he came back and did the adjustment right away (even after I paid him for the full job - amazing follow-up :).

We are really delighted with the final product and overall experience with Ofer and his team. Thanks guys and well done!
