Unprofessional, poor quality service

Benjamin was referred by a colleague to do flooring for my 2 bedroom condo. At first, he was courteous and took time to show samples but it all fell apart after that. We got the flooring done due to water damage and under an insurance claim when my wife was 3 months pregnant. We indicated to Benjamin the urgency to get the job done before the child was born as we don't want to deal with dust and debris with a newborn. It took a while to confirm a date as he took a while to get his insurance and WSIB documents to me, which he just got days before doing the job. When doing the job, his staff were unprofessional, asking for the wifi password upon arrival, using our clothes to clean surfaces without asking and left a bad impression overall. Benjamin damaged our dresser and I caught him sleeping on the job as well. After the job was complete in 3 days, there were deficiencies which I pointed out and he said he'll come back to touch it up. I have chat records to prove the patient back and forth I had with him but took him 4 months to see the extensive damage on the vinyl floors he installed. He said it was a manufacturer defect and had to contact them to replace my floors. I reinforced our urgency as my wife was 8 months pregnant at that point and he dragged his feet. By the time our kid was born, I mentioned he had to come in and redo the floors or give me a refund for the bad flooring job. At that point he blocked my number and my colleague had to reach out to ask why he was being unprofessional. 8 months later now, we have damaged flooring and I have to pay out of pocket to replace his entire installation. Contractors that came in afterwards pointed out the bad job, as he recommended a 4mm vinyl for a condo, which is too thin and prone to breaks. A thicker vinyl should have been recommended. Benjamin also blamed uneven flooring but when he ripped up the floors, it was evident that he missed a piece of underpad that caused damage. He also attempted to use a heat gun and hot glue to glue down the floors which warped and created a bigger mess (pictures attached for reference). Overall don't waste your time or money as this was almost a waste of a year for me to find another contractor. I have messages to prove how polite I was and the time it took. I had to switch from text to what's app so that I can see if he saw my messages since he wasn't replying. One screen shot shows a message that didn't go through, which is when he blocked my number and admitted it to my colleague. His recommendation for the flooring sticking out was to wear slippers at home, very unprofessional.
