The owner of Hunter Group Landscaping, came to our house. He was quick to return our first phone call and to give us a quote.
We agree to do business with him and his company. He ask for a deposit of $461.25 witch I paid by cheque as he requested.
The job was to supply and install new dirt & sod plus a few landscaping work.
They did'nt show up on the scheduled morning.
After waiting 2 hours I called him.
He said that he was running late from his previous job and that he will be at our house in the afternoon.
He never show up! I lost a day from work, waiting...
I called him the morning after and left a message on his voice mail.
He never return my calls.
I went to see him at the business address, witch was his personal house.
After our conversation he agreed to give me back my deposit.
Witch i did'nt get obviously.
I called many many times with no answer and no reply to my messages.
6 month later, the work is still not done, and he still have my deposit.
This guy is protected by the system. It will cost me more money to go to court.
Here is how he proceed; I think he always advertise in different neigbourhood. He take small deposits for jobs he gets but never do any of them. He wait a few weeks or months and start over again, somewhere else. He also change his company name and phone number often
