2nd job completed, new outlet installed. Next new lighting for bathroom.
Neat and tidy job, quick and finally I have an electrical outlet where I needed one.
I needed a light fixture installed in a dark hall where no light “has gone before”. I couldn’t get an electrician to commit, then one said ok but never got back to me.
On July 6th I went back to Homestars site and contacted KNT. I didn’t call them earlier because all their reviews were for MAJOR jobs. I spoke with Bill, then Tim and emailed pictures and a description of what I needed.
They clearly spelled out their fee structure so it wasn’t necessary to get an estimate as I had an idea of how long it should take.
NEXT DAY Tim called and said they can do my job tomorrow, Sunday, and I said fantastic, do it.
The knowledge, speed and efficiency of KNT electrician Ken was impressive to say the least. Ken did the new light and switch and then replaced 5 old dimmers (70’s style) to new Universal dimmers.
KNT has restored my faith. Thank you Tim, Bill and a special thanks to Ken for doing such a great job.

after a recent windstorm, our power was out and we had to get our mast repaired before hydro would reconnect- I called KNT, and even though they were extremely busy, they managed to be at my house within 3 hours- they were efficient, friendly and they charged exactly as quoted. I would recommend to anyone.

We discovered some residual knob and tube in our home that had been partially renovated and needed it out.

We picked KNT because of the good reviews, and their quote was very detailed and easy to understand. The communication was excellent, emails and phone calls returned promptly, all questions were answered.

Their team worked very hard, were friendly and respectful of our possessions and were able to finish the job quickly, with minimal disruption to the rest of the house. They also installed additional light fixtures and fan at our request.

The job ended up costing less than what we were quoted, and I appreciate that they were honest with their estimate and final cost. I found the company trustworthy and reliable.

From estimate through completion of job, KNT was quick, friendly, thorough and professional. This can be a dirty, dusty, messy job, but they managed to get the power back on by the end of work each day and kept the chaos under control. Good job.

KNT Electric just finished replacing the knob-and-tube wiring in our house, which turned 100 years-old in early 2018. Their impeccable professionalism was evident at every stage of the task: We were going to live in the house while work was ongoing, and were worried how it will proceed. So they invited us to see a house they were already working on. The cleanly and sparingly punctured holes on the lath walls, the carefully covered hardwood floors, and the punctuality of the team (who were on the site early in the morning—exactly as they said they would be) more than recommended them for the job. Tim and Danny’s initial inspection was meticulous, and so was the documentation of the assessment, which Tim sent us before starting the job, and updated at the end, taking into account only work done. He took careful stock of all possibilities, and proposed some cost-saving solutions for our particular situation. The team was also very considerate and accommodating: we had to interrupt work for almost a week, due to unrelated problems, and they did the necessary rescheduling. They were knowledgeable and ready to answer all our technical questions accessibly and in detail—Danny and Tim in particular. The company apparently makes every effort to enhance the qualifications of its employees. (Danny told me, that all members of the team are sent periodically to refresher courses, to keep up with innovations, and with changes of the codes.. Their team-spirit is also remarkable: They often consult each other, each contributing his own particular expertise to the task, and we felt that we can fully rely on their judgement and their work. )

KNT replaced a major cable to my secondary electric box which involved running it up 2 floors and from the front to the back of my 100+ year old house. All of their guys were professional, pleasant, competent and punctual. They did an amazing job of not making much mess and repairing the few holes that they needed to make.

I recently purchased an older house (built in 1946) that had K&T. My wife and I had just under 2 weeks to get the house rewired and painted prior to moving in. Bill & Tim knew of our tight timelines and sent extra workers in order to get the job done on time. Not only did they replace all the Knob and Tube, they also replaced light fixtures (at no cost) and installed pot lights throughout the house at reasonable cost. I was updated on a daily basis on their progress and if I had questions they were extremely responsive unlike other contractors we've dealt with in the past.
