Huntwood Custom Cabinets

Huntwood custom cabinets installed all the cabinet work in our new home.

There were several issues with our cabinets. These were the issues:

- wrong cabinets installed in kitchen.
- Crown moulding installed was NOT what we had ordered.
- Wrong valence to cover under cabinet lighting.
- Wrong counter top installed in upstairs main bath.
- Wrong cabinet installed in main bath.

We were informed by Huntwood that all the mistakes were due to one person who is no longer with the company. However, would not change crown moulding to what we had selected b/c the person we dealt with had written it down wrong - so they took the word of someone who made major mistakes and who is no longer with the company over the word of the customer.

If you are thinking about any kind of cabinet work - move on from Huntwood - you WILL be disappointed.

UPDATE JUNE 2014 - A Huntwood company rep from the US called and requested to meet with us re our issues with the cabinets. After meeting with him and his colleague we now understand it was the home builder who was fully responsible for the mistakes that were made in our home. This is not a surprise as the builder was responsible for numerous mistakes during our build

Huntwood has gone above and beyond by offering to correct any remaining issues promptly and were extremely helpful and genuinely seem to care about their customers and their reputation.

Also, the actual product is quite high end and a step above a number of other Edmonton cabinet suppliers (this is our third build and by far like the Huntwood product the most appealing and well built).
