Home prepurchase inspection

* Response to our request for service under a very tight timeline was exceptional considering the circumstances (large purchase, older home, current real estate conditions).
* The opportunity to have the service provider walk through the property to ascertain any glaring issues was comforting even though we elected to proceed with full inspection.
* The service providers association with David Seadon & Assoc carried a lot of weight and gave us confidence that the work to be conducted would be professional handled. The aforementioned is key our view (Associate oneself with quality, ethical, professional, hardworking, business partners as they will mirror the values of their clientele who in turn will be made available to you and your service).
* We are visual learners and as such the supplementary photo's provided were very helpful and allowed us to make timely decisions. Perhaps more photo's can be incorporated into the report. Perhaps the use of a UAV would add another dimension of thoroughness and safety to the work conducted.
* Price point was fair and reasonable.
* Reports were clear and concise within the context of the depth allowable in such an inspection.

Approximate cost of services:
$600.00

Company Response

Thanks for taking the time to write this review of your Vancouver home inspection, Darren. I’m glad the photos were useful; your feedback on them is much appreciated. I always aim to strike a balance between keeping reports as clear & concise as possible, while giving clients as much relevant information as I can. I agree that Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) can be useful on some properties, but with your house and whenever it’s safe to do so I climb up onto the roof and carefully walk all over it to get a good, close look at its condition & the way it was built. Sincerely, Mike Woodbridge
