Arby Cartage

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Arby Cartage. From the first call to set up the move to the move itself, the process was seamless. The movers, Raman and Trevor, worked very efficiently and effectively and completed the move in record time.They took great care with the furniture which was being moved to two separate locations at opposite ends of Toronto, and in particular did an amazing job of getting a very large dining room hutch through a very small entranceway. We were really impressed with Arby Cartage, and would not hesitate to call them again - and would most definitely recommend them. A fantastic job at an incredible price!

Could not have found a better moving company without Homestars.
Arby Cartage was 20 minutes early in order to check service elevators etc.They were very careful and merticulously packed the truck in order for all my boxes to fit in.I had wardrobe boxes that they were not aware of but instead of making an issue( as they take up alot of space) they happily accommodated.
Both Anil and his coworker did not stop the whole time and they moved fast!
I have already recommended their services to a friend who is using them next week.
I would not hesitate to use them again.

I used Arby's services recently, they deserve all the good reviews. I will recommend them without hesitation. They were on time, they finished quickly, no hidden fees . There is really no reason to shop around, just phone them get a quote and you done.

My partner and I moved from our 2.5 story downtown Toronto rental home to our 2.5story owned home which had just had a full paint job and floors sanded. Arby visited our place about a month prior to moving and gave us a quote plus helpful advice about the number of boxes we'd need, how long the move would probably take as well as a detailed description of the team he would be sending. This was compared against another company's quote plus an online quote and the expedience of providing the estimate, the estimate itself, the high Homestars rating and the fact that it was a small, family run operation all tipped the balance in their favor.
Move day Arby's son Anihl and his 4 man tream arrived about 20 min. early and worked incredibly quickly and efficiently, in fact, I'd flag to anyone planning to use Arby...be ready! They really know how to move! At the same time, the team was respectful and careful, dismantling what needed to be and wrapping what needed protection. I had made prior arrangements with Arby to plastic wrap our white sofa and did have to point this out to Anihl and his team as they were just going to wrap it as usual, but they were happy to carry through with the request. A few of our pieces of furniture already had dings or scratches and they carefully pointed these out to us so that no issues arose later.

Once at the new house, they were careful not to bump or mark up the newly painted walls and made use of paper on the newly sanded floors. We have a LOT of books so we appreciated the amount of heavy lifting these guys had to do over the full, 10+ hour day at both locations, and after moving close to 400 boxes over the course of the entire day, I'd say about 85% or more of the boxes ended up exactly where we asked them to be placed, any confusion more due to our labelling than their misreading.
The estimate of one large truck and one small truck needed to be augmented with a followup small truck to pick up the last load...our 10 or so wardobe boxes. Arby himself completed this run while his move team waited to unload them, by now in the pouring rain.
Barely a drop of water came into our new home due to the clever system they set up to bring the last boxes in.

My only real critical comment is one that I've experienced with other moving companies as well ( we've moved 3 times in the last 4 years), and it's about the placement of 'Fragile' boxes: Boxes marked 'Fragile' were carried with due attention, yet both with Arby and other movers, quite often, I would find a 'Fragile' box placed underneath 2 sometimes 3 other, non-'Fragile' boxes. This obviously puts the fragile contents at risk so in my mind is really Moving 101. I pointed it out to Anihl and this was duly and respectfully conveyed to the rest of the team.
And on a lesser note, but one worth mentioning, I labelled most of our boxes on both the top and one side both in terms of room and contents, so that as the boxes stacked up I could still locate things. I requested that they try and pay attention to this which once mentioned they attempted to do.

The moving team worked straight through from 8:45am -about 7:30pm without any visible break. They barely even accepted water and cans of pop! Very polite, clearly working as a team who enjoyed each other....very nice energy to have around.

So big Thanks to all of you at Arby moving. We hope not to be moving for some time now but will happily recommend you to anyone we can.

The team was quick, polite and on time. No issues of any sort, and as I was back and forth between the two locations, they acted in a professional manner at all times.

This was a 4 hour move of large file cabinets, 100+ boxes of files. Amil and his team were a pleasure to work with. Polite, efficient and professional. They were on time, the job done within the time frame expected, and right on budget. I would not hesitate to use Arby again, or recommend them to my friends and family.

I used Arby’s moving company in August to move from Halton to Durham. The job itself took less than 4 hours but because of the travel we were charged the min. 4 hr and an extra hr for commute. I was okay with that because it is a lot of traveling. I ordered two trucks and 5 guys, they came 15 mins early which was very appreciated since you don’t want to be worried about timing. They were quick and did not take a break, they ended up waiting for us to leave! They were very hard working and work well with manner. I gave them an 8 ( I really want to give you a 8.8 but they don't allow partial points!) because of a couple of things: 1) they were quick at loading and unloading but that also leads to one of their faults which was that when they were unpacking the truck they drop my treadmill. It was unopened in box so it wasn’t because of bad packing. 2) We finished unloading at 3 and a half hour. We signed some paper work and paid them but they left right away! They didn’t ask me if I would still like to use them for the remainder of the 20 – 25 mins! However, I try not to hold that against them as they didn’t have a break/lunch break at that point so I try to think of it as their lunch. Overall, Anil was great and I would definitely recommend them again!

We moved this summer from a townhouse to a bigger house, and these movers were great. They showed up on time, were very fast, and there were no problems at all. They were not the cheapest quote we got, but they were worth the price. There was a tiny bit of damage on one of our walls, but other than that no other damage. I'd definitely recommend these movers, and if we moved again would use them again.

This review is long overdue. Found Arby on Homestar for our Summer move. Anil and crew are very professional and courteous, did their job quickly and very efficiently as well as completing it below the original estimate. I had used one other moving company in the past and Arby is by far a superior experieince. I suggest other homeowners to be very organzied and ready for the crew (what stay vs being moved and what goes where in new house) in order to minimize delays, worked well for me. Thanks Anil.

I called this company last minute to move between condos. I was referred to Arby by a friend who was previously a very satisfied customer. They showed up 15 min EARLY and were extremely careful with all of my furniture. Upon completing the job quicker than I expected they actually charged less than the original reasonably quoted price. Definitely a company you trust and rely on.
