My daughter passed away unexpectedly in December so we had some things that needed to be disposed of. Her roommate agreed to empty the house since she had to move out as well since she could no longer afford the place on her own. I agreed to pay for it. The truck was 5/6 full I was told by the driver. I was quoted $630.00 + dollars. I'm not saying that they aren't professional and they did come very quickly, I'm just saying I wish we had the time to shop around and get a more affordable price. Everything had been removed from the house and was sitting in the driveway.. they didn't have to clean up anything. As it turns out, I don't have the time or the energy to shop further so I let them go ahead. I told my husband what I spent and he agreed that the pricing was way to high. He deals in construction containers all the time and the service is overpriced. I paid it.. I didn't have to, but sometimes you're just stuck. Lesson learned.
I requested junk removal as my birthday present. I have two toddlers and a disorder called EDS which makes it hard to keep on top of garbage. I can't lift a heavy bag or object. After a move and Christmas it got away from us... So instead of my husband spending days making dump runs... I wanted his time instead. Hence our call. Matt and Renaldo were awesome! We were going through a renovation and needed to clean out our basement before hand. Contacted 1-800 junk for a pick-up appt. I advised them we wouldn't need them to come into our home since we would move everything out on our driveway for easier and quicker pick-up. The two arrived and introduced themselves. Showed me the meter and then proceeded to put everything in the truck. I was a bit surprised by the final price since other quotes we received were cheaper and they would also included the removal from inside our home? We thought we would make it easier for them and have everything in our driveway since that should also reduce the cost since they were not going back and forth in our home and adding more time. They were at our home for less than 15 minutes. The guys were friendly, quick and professional. The only downfall was the price. Higher than most and wish I had time to do research since most likely would have gone with someone else to take our junk. Since we needed it done within 3 days, this wasn't an option to shop around.
