Basement Renovation in Mississauga

Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

This city is full of contractors who will give you a low ball quote and then by the time they are into your project they begin putting in change orders and raising prices at every chance available. Mike gave me a fair and honest quote and it never changed unless I had requested a couple extras. I've had too many horrible experiences with these so called professional contractors, so it's a breath of fresh air to know that a company like 310Reno is around. They completed my basement on time and on budget.

I would really like to go on and on about how good this company is but I'm sure everyone can see by the number of positive reviews out there for these guys. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Approximate cost of services:
$35,000.00

Company Response

It can sometimes be a challenge to bid against these contractors who low-ball their quotes. I try to warn potential clients that a low-ball quote will likely produce a low-quality job or a job that will be continually growing in price throughout the build. I am happy you spotted the low-ball quotes you received and chose 310-RENO to complete your basement. We try our best to keep clients from paying for unforeseen expenses, and a lot of the time we might appear to focus on the worst case scenarios whilst quoting and explaining the build process. I know this technique doesn't sell as efficiently as the "everything will be okay" and the "don't worry about it" speech, but property owners must be aware of this. It is sometimes due to a lack of experience on the contractors end and sometimes it is just a shady company using poor sales techniques. Andrew, as you know, we prefer to lose a job than to take it on and leave a client unhappy. Thank you for your kind words and the acknowledgement of our stance on integrity. Cheers, Mike.
