Built our house

The builder agreed to all our custom elements/details but after we signed the agreement and gave our deposit he started coming up with stupid reasons why we couldn't have what we asked for.
He said we couldn't have the island depth we wanted because we wouldn't be able to reach across and touch the other side. We paid a designer to design our kitchen. We gave that design to the builder but the kitchen was not installed as designed. The wrong kitchen counters installed. The opening for the fridge was the wrong size. Not all taps have undercounter shutoffs. The water tank had to be replaced after 5 years. Frost free exterior taps not installed. Wrong size garage door installed. Roof shingles started to degrade after only 12 years. A wall in the basement was installed in the wrong place leaving a pipe, that should have been inside the wall, sticking out of the floor. A pot light in the kitchen was installed in the wrong place. A defective tub was installed in the master bathroom. The temperature control for the heated bathroom floor was installed in the basement. The floor of a bay window was not insulated. While we asked that the drywall to be installed using screws we are getting "nail" pops in the drywall. The mortar in the bricks started cracking the year after we moved in. Rubber toilet rings were installed instead of wax. While this is supposed to be an R2000 home, bugs and mice don't seem to have a problem finding their way in. As the years go by we seem to find more things not done correctly or as we asked.

Approximate cost of services:
