Dining room table cut down and rebuild

Dave did a great job cutting down a solid maple dining room table and re-building it. The table looks fantastic, work was done exactly as promised, including on-time pick-up and delivery. Meticulous, honest and trust worthy, and a real craftsman. Many thanks Dave and Nitty Gritty Furniture! I would highly recommend!

In home sofa leg repair

David did an amazing job fixing a collapsed leg on our mid-century inspired sofa. One of the skinny legs had toppled, and the others were becoming suspect. David recommended properly re-securing all of the legs so they would be structurally sound. I really appreciate this because a not-so-upstanding repairman could just fix the leg you called about and leave the others for "future work" when they fail. Costs a bit more to do them all, but it's solid all the way around now. David photo documented all the work he did and emailed a full explaination with the photos. And lastly, he thoroughly cleaned up after the work was done! Thanks David - you're awesome. Highly recommended!

Antique Rocker Restoration

I recently inherited a century-old family heirloom rocking chair which desperately needed total restoration. It definitely required the services of a knowledgeable and experienced craftsman. After contacting David Ross I knew I had found the right person for the job. He completely understood the challenges and was able to preserve a precious piece from my past. The extra care taken with this project was exceptional.

Sandra: Thank you for your lovely note. It was clearly the Cape Breton heritage that brought inspiration to the task. Fortunately, now the rocker has another 100 years to be enjoyed and shared. I'm glad that you're it's next custodian, to use it and to take delight in its comfort, action and beauty. Thank you for your business and your support. It was a pleasure dealing with you.

repair an antique rocking chair

My grandchild broke an antique child's rocking chair that belonged to her father. Nitty Gritty assessed the damage, suggested a solution and successfully made the repair so the rocker is again usable. Wonderful to deal with.
