We hired Sears for our bathroom renovation and have had a catalogue of issues. They were the highest priced of the three contractors we interviewed but having the big brand name gave us confidence it would be done right. Turned out we were wrong.
The biggest problem is a major leak from the brand new shower into our Kitchen below. They have only just acknowledged that this is their fault and we still have no idea what they plan to do about it. The renovation took 6 months to start (signed July 4, started December 11) and is now in its fifth month (as at April 16). We also have a number of other issues with the workmanship - the threshold is badly finished, the grout colour varies a lot, the vanity they brought is chipped and touched up, the hardwoond floor is scratched, the medicine cabinet is a low quality and they refuse to look at other options to change it and so on.
Really really bad experience.
