repair on stereo purchased from sears

I purchased a stereo 2 years ago from Sears Erin Mills.I brought it back in December for a repair estimate at their Bramalea location. I was told that I'd be contacted soon about how much it would cost. A month passed. Went back to see what happened and they had no recollection of my stereo and could not even find it. Weeks later, it was found at the repair shop and to make a long story short, the next few months entailed it being lost over and over again, people not knowing what we were talking about or knowing where or when it would be sent back to the store. I finally declined to have it fixed since the price to fix was 180! and asked repeatedly for it to be sent back to the store. I contaced their head office for help since I was being given the runaround and Mandeeep the store manager was quite rude to me. They gave me a 100 gift cert for my inconvience in March. I still had to pay $45 for the estimate of the repair and have been out of a stereo since Dec. It is now April and once again, HEAD OFFICE can not find my stereo. They are searching for it dilligently and at least this time there is a nice customer service rep named Elizabeth who seems to care about our plight. I don't think that a $100 gift cert is enough for all the driving back and forth to the stores we made everytime we were told to come pick up the stereo only to find that when we got there no one knew what we were talking about and then sent us home or for the hours we have spent on the phone trying to figure out what is going on. It has now been FIVE MONTHS!!!

Approximate cost of services:
$270.00
