Royal Decks literally made our dream come true! We approached Miro with a few hand drawn sketches of the kind of deck we wanted. He listened, asked lots of questions, and mapped out all the possibilities for us with smart suggestions on how to keep costs on track. He created amazing 3D renderings of the new deck and our house - so we could visualize exactly what we wanted, in terms of colours and shapes before signing off and starting to build. This sales process really sets them apart - it was so fun.
Miro laid out a clear schedule for the build, never went over budget, and was always available if we had questions. On day 1 of the build, Steve the master carpenter showed up with Jay and worked meticulously and efficiently to get everything done on schedule. We are super picky about details and these guys did everything so well. If you go with Royal Decks - ask for Steve, he is a true craftsman who takes tremendous pride in his work. He came to work on weekends, and he always had great suggestions on how to make sure so things turned out awesome (how we should arrange the deck lights, trim the steps etc...). Unlike other contractors who just follow their work orders blindly, these guys care so much about the finished product and how it will function for the customer. That made all the difference for us. Steve and Jay were amazing. Our deck is so much better than we hoped. We love it. Thanks guys!

When Paul Lafrance Design Group recommended Royal Decks to build our very elaborate deck we did not know what to expect. Miro was very knowledgeable and helpful in making sure that our deck could become a reality. Steve took personal pride in building the deck according to the design and he always made sure that the client was well informed every step of the way. Everyone agrees that it is a beautiful deck and we are glad that Miro and his team made this dream possible.

Miro is a highly qualified "hands on" owner with a full time crew and we were extremely happy with the deck plans and build. They kept us informed through the process and we had specs on all materials, timelines etc. Royal Deck used top notch materials and the right technology to build a beautiful deck ( within our budget) that we are very pleased to own and use daily.

We contracted Royal Decks to design and build a dual-purpose carport and deck at the rear of our house. Miro came up with an excellent design and reasonable quote. At that time we needed to obtain necessary permits and the process took a lot longer than expected. Throughout this, Miro provided additional drawings and information when needed and waited patiently. The deck was built in stages, further delayed by the unusual past winter. Steve provided superb services and built a fantastic deck. The process was seamless, we did not have to every ask for information or follow-up and this included liaison with the city Inspector. Would not hesitate to recommend Royal Decks.

Great from start to finish. Miro was easy to work with, very professional and provided lots of insight.

I was having concrete done at the same time and Miro was able to drop by at a moment's notice and get the posts in so my other projects could also go ahead.

I had searched the Internet for designs and came up with my own custom combination and Miro's team was able to make it not only a reality but much better than I had imagined.

The price was actually lower than others who were not offering the same quality of materials.

I decided to go with PVC for the horizontal decking and wood for the Pergola and rails.

Miro returns calls promptly and you never have to chase him.

His "zero pressure' approach to sales is a refreshing approach.

I've had no issues with my deck and as a major "do it yourselfer" I strive for perfection and I haven't found any flaws.

The deck was build by REAL carpenters not by the average joe who slaps up some wood in a day and calls it done.

The deck did cost a lot as I choose PVC over composite and wood but PVC is even better than composite and it's been zero maintenance.

I'd advise to always do with something a bit more maintenance free for the decking as a minimum.

This year I'll have Royal Decks complete the deck skirt (couldn't do it last year due to concrete work).

I'd highly recommend Royal Decks for a professional quality looking and long lasting deck.

We hired Royal Decks to design and construct a deck in our backyard to include a hot tub. Miro was excellent to work with. He really listened to our ideas and designed a multi-level deck that maximizes the space in our backyard. His price was very competitive and his design had the "flare" we were looking for. We sought out 3 different companies. The design by Miro was by far the best and so was his price. He was very patient and flexible with some of the changes that we made along the way. The carpenters (Harely and Steve) who constructed our deck were very professional, friendly and meticulous. They finished the job well ahead of schedule. We are extremely satisfied with our "Backyard Oasis" and would recommend Royal Decks to our friends and family.

We had Royal Decks design and construct a gorgeous 2nd storey two-level deck in our backyard. Having completed several major renos between both of our last two houses over the past few years, we have worked we numerous contractors, pool builders, etc. In my experience, contractors are frequently responsive at first and then less so when you've already paid them most of the money. Not so with Miro and his crew. They have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Their service, design, and final product were all top notch. This is the first time I have worked with a contractor and have had no complaints whatsoever. The deck is gorgeous, with careful attention paid to each part of the construction process. I found them to be reasonably priced and extremely helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. They were also flexible and were able to meet all our needs (including ensuring that the deck was safe for children and for a large hot tub - requiring extra supports - they brought in a structural engineer to help with this). They were punctual and on time throughout the project. Their quality is top notch across the board. So far we have had no need for follow up but anticipate that Miro and his team will be very responsive if anything should come up. I highly recommend - without any reservation whatsoever - using Royal Decks if you're looking to put in a deck in the GTA.

Initially I wanted to get a few quotes before proceeding with replacing a 50+ year old upper deck for a rental unit, but met with Julian, the designer of Royal Decks and was so impressed by his knowledge, honesty and professionalism that I felt this was the right company to do the job. The team were polite and considerate, and Julian always kept me updated on the progress of the deck, which I appreciated greatly. The new upper deck with pergola that they constructed is beautiful. The team were so efficient and cleaned up the site and left it very neat and tidy for my tenant. Overall, Royal Decks surpassed my expectations in every way and I will definitely use them again for future projects. Excellent job!

Royal Decks constructed a beautiful elevated deck in our back yard. It was truly a pleasure to deal with Miro. We found him to be highly professional, very patient with all our questions and extremely thorough. His carpenters are superb. They were very polite and pleasant to have around for the week when construction was taking place. Their workmanship was outstanding and their final cleanup of the site was excellent. The end result exceeded our expectation. Royal Decks are the best and we highly recommend them to anyone who wants a premium quality end result that any homeowner would be very proud of.

From the time we met with Julian to discuss what we needed to changing the design which was met with good humour and courtesy, to watching our deck and pergola take shape day after day, we received great customer service and professional care. The carpenters Mike and Andrew, who have great professional skills and cheerful attitudes, went above and beyond to take great care with building our new deck and pergola, and also came up with wonderful suggestions and solutions to our design. Miro, the owner, is a fair and honest contractor. He resolved a minor issue with the steps going down to the garden area quickly and competently. Royal Decks focuses on doing a great job on time and on budget and we give them our highest recommendation.
