Semi-detached home, detached home

Over the last fourteen years, we have purchased 3 Primont Homes. From our very first Semi, to our current detached home, our experience has been outstanding! Their service, expertise, and commitment to quality products and finishes is insurmountable. A family owned and run business (that knows and cares) about building quality homes. You can trust them to build you that special place to call HOME!

New Home

We purchased a new build from Primont Homes in 2012 and moved in September 2013. When we moved in the balcony was still unfinished, and we were told that the external work would continue for a while. Once the balcony was finished we noticed that there was a hole in our back entrance brick wall, with exposed wood. We reported this on our 30-day Tarion submission and have been following up with Primont ever since. The customer service rep kept referring us back and forth between the masonry company and the aluminum siding company. Just today, I noticed someone had glued a piece of aluminum flashing over the wood which had already started to weather after being exposed throughout the winter/spring. An even more shady job as its not even completely sealed. This is unacceptable and I'm still trying to get in touch with Primont to have the problem fixed properly.

Update - today a Customer Care rep from Primont came to meet with us. He admitted that a mistake was initially made when building the wall/balcony and that patch work was done. He said they are 'allowed to make modifications to external components' and refused to correct the mistake. This is infuriating and completely unacceptable.

new house

The worst builder in my life is Primont. Seasons in Caledon playing a unfair game with public interest. No one in this company care about customers. If you can avoid this builder you will save a lot of money.

Grading

Terrible customer service. I am tired to contact the customer service again and again. After i got my new home, i found water stay in my back yard and in frond of the house due to poor grading. I contact the customer service in spring of 2013, two years has passed, i am still waiting them to solve the problem. I found a long cracking on the wall down to the basement and water leak to the house today, i am really worry if they will solve the problem for me this time and how long i have to wait for. If they won't solve the problem, should i contact TARION?

Very Poor Customer Service

Worst company to deal with. Highly recommend avoiding them. If you do go ahead with them avoid talking to any of the builders and or site supervisors as they care nothing about your concerns. They seem to only care about their paychecks. Had a horrible experience with a site super at one of their sites. And judging by this review page it seems this is a common occurrence at all their sites. Im so sorry we ever dealt with them. :(

Home Purchase & After Sales Service

I bought my home from Primont in 2011. I loved their selection of homes from the start and the Sales Representative at the Sales Office was top notch. I initially had some concerns with the Decor Center employee; but it would seem that Primont had the same concerns since numerous complaints seemed to have resulted in someone else stepping into that role; so a responsive builder in my book deserves credit.

I am a picky fellow. I have my houses inspected by Engineers and not inspectors. Even they have attested that the product delivered from Primont (for our development in Markham) was a good product- better than most of the new homes that they were inspecting.

If there is one thing that I have always appreciated from Primont is the open dialogue with their service department. They have never stopped me from contacting them and the service Manager has delivered BIG TIME on the most essential things that I felt required the builder's attention. It is 3 years later and I have nothing but praise with which Robert (the Service Manager) has handled my service issues/requests and continues to do so.

Am I saying that the relationship was without disagreements? Not at all; particularly at the beginning when the homeowner and home builder are getting to know each other. But I consider that part of the process of getting to understand each other. Notwithstanding that, they were always professional.

I feel it was about time to let others know about Primont's great service they have provided me with over the years. I have thanked them in person, I figured I would share it with others.

Roberto, we appreciate you taking the time to post a review. It was a pleasure dealing with you from the onset! Open communication between purchaser and vendor are extremely important as we need to hear your experience good/bad so we know how to make it better. Once again thank you and welcome to the Primont family!

New Home

I purchased my Primont home 7 years, and I absolutely love my home. From the agent to the decor centre everyone was so helpful and accommodating. If we had any questions or concerns I knew they were only a phone call away. My home is beautifully designed and well planned. Whenever guests come to my home they always compliment on how open and beautiful my home is. I love my home and would recommend Primont to my family and friends.

My husband and I moved into our new townhouse earlier this year and are very happy with our home. We did have a few problems (we were delayed for a couple of months which we expected) but in the end our house was worth waiting for.

Everyone we dealt with at Primont was really helpful. The sales agents were very patient with all of our questions and really showed that they cared about their jobs and about us.

The decor centre is gorgeous with so many options to choose from. We were on a budget, but we did get the hardwood floors stained as well as the staircase which we though was a pretty good value. We also upgraded the kitchen counters and got pot drawers, etc. and we did the glass shower. All together we spent around eight thousand dollars on top of our credit.

We did have a small plumbing problem but it was taken care of very quickly. I was actually surprised at some of the reviews because we found the customer service department to be very helpful. We never had a problem with them at all, maybe sometimes it's how you ask.

Overall, we are very happy with our first purchase. We would definitely buy from Primont again.
