Polar Bear Installed our horizontal closed loop system in July 2008. After the initial trouble with the system it has been working very steadily during the last winter (2009) and so far this winter.

We haven't had any issues with the heating or A/C since Dennis (owner) corrected the problem.

We signed a contract with Denis (we even invited him for dinner) for the GEOthermal system that POLAR BEARS (his company) manufactures at 501 Alliance Road. Denis is extremely difficult to deal with, but because of the large deposit we paid him (30%), we had to put up with his tantrums and anger.

He eventually installed the system.

6 Months later (Oct 2008), the system stopped working and now continuously blows cold air. We asked them to come and have a look at the problem (the house is being heated with electrical backup heaters! - costing us exorbitantly) and he has been giving us the run around for a whole month. Still we await for him to come fix the problem. He keeps on saying that he is busy with new installations (I hope they have better luck)

... in the meantime we continue to live in a cold home ...

We will probably end up in court with this guy. We have just engaged a lawyer to see what can be done.

We would give a rating of 0 if we could.
