Re-wire older home - remove knob and tube
Disappointing experience.
Leaside Electric dealt with our general contractor. Took weeks longer than said up front. Bill was almost twice quote. Did minor damage (carpets, walls, furniture) and was aggressive when we brought it up. After being harassed to pay, before work was done, we paid - now refusing to finish.
Have been rude.Really abusive. We were actually afraid. Felt harassed.
Have reneged on promise to finish - now that paid, deny that responsible to finish after telling us they would never do that when they wanted to get paid.
Shocking. Disappointing. They live in the same neighbourhood. Were all about being neighbours when they wanted a BIG check. Once they had the check, took the opportunity to tell us to get lost.
We thought they had such a good reputation.

- They could provide some. They could be polite. They could be responsible. They could be professional.
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Try to find somebody else. There must be some ethical electricians in Leaside.
