Better Contracting Services

I recently hired Better Contracting to replace the shingles on the roof. The service was great. Thew crew that did the install were skilled, friendly and kept the house clean during the entire time. The job was done completed on time. They were easy to deal with through the entire process. They were fairly priced. I did get a few quotes. Ultimately Better Contracting offered me a more than the competition. I'm a home inspector, it's my job to pay attention to detail. I can honestly say that their workmanship was great. I will be adding them to my client referral list.

My kitchen and bathroom air vents were just going into my attic and was causing condensation. They came in and explained to me what they were going to do to fix the problem. They had me have a look at the attic to see the damage it has caused. Came back and fixed it and it has been great ever since. I can now use my microwave and fans. Told me if I have anymore problems with it to give them a call. They did a great job!!! I was impressed.

Two of my neighbours used better contracting. So I got a quote from them and they were $1,400.00 more expensive then the other quote. The salesman from better contracting had said to me that the cheapest price means the cheapest workmanship and material. So I went with better contracting. They did a great job.

Better Contracting came highly recommended by another building professional in the industry. The roof over my kitchen (with two skylights) was leaking but it was the middle of winter, so I wasn't sure what could be done. Better Contracting Services showed up the same day I called. They kept all their promises and showed up on time. The job was done in one day even though they had to clear 30 cm of snow, they cleaned up after the job, the crew was very friendly, and they did an amazing job at a very reasonable rate. I recommend this company to anyone who needs any roofing or roof repairs.

I had an emergency with a falling chimney and leaky roof, I gave Mike graves from better contracting a call and in 2 days I had a new roof no leaks and no chimney. The crew cleaned up after them self, it's didn't even seem that I had work done on my house until you looked up and seen the amazing roof covering my pricey investment. Since then I have had Mike Graves and Better Contracting work on 3 of my family members homes and no complaints. Yes I will work with them again. Great help from Mike Graves and the Better Contracting crew.

I am very pleased with Better Contracting! Josh, my estimator, was polite and low pressure; which was refreshing. With his guidance, I increased my property value and energy savings. The disposal bin was prompt, the aluminum and roofing crews were respectful of my shared driveway precautions. As a single woman, I felt comfortable, and greatly appreciated that none of the men asked to use my bathroom. And my place looks great!

My wife and I had 2 downspouts extended to the gutters above our garage, as well as 2 downspout extensions done. We also had caulking done/re-done between our brick and stucco.

Overall, we're very happy with the quality of work. The aluminium work was done well, and the caulking was top-notch. Unfortunately, in order to have the caulking completed, we had to wait quite a while due to weather and Better Contracting's workload. The gentleman who came by to finish the caulking, Marko (please pardon our spelling), was very pleasant and customer-oriented. Debbie at Better Contracting's office was able to assist.

I hired Better Contracting to do a new roof and skylight.
The skylight leaked and had mold. I found out that I requested and paid Better Contracting for a Velox Skylight but was given a cheaper version that does not fit on the inside and has mold and leaks.

I actually had the Velox Skylight Co in to evaluate my problem when Better Contracting would not resolve my issue.
They immediately recognized that it was not a Velox skylight.

What kind of a company would put in an inferior skylight when they charged you for a Velox.

The most disturbing issue was that they kept saying that they were coming, that I was scheduled. But 3 years later nothing.

I am reporting Better Contracting-Huge price for inferior work.
