Best Kitchens & Renovations

There was no project management. Minimal design options. Trades were good, but could be extremely messy and never seemed to remember a shop vac.
Project time was estimated at 6-7 wks. Actually took 6 months.
If you are a total lay person, this is not the company for you. Pricing was fair.

I recently had my kitchen renovated by Roslyn of Best Kitchen. love, love, love my new kitchen. The team was superb to work with. Roslyn provided great ideas/suggestions when I could not decide.

The calibration between Roslyn and I were great. She dropped in while the work was being done and always follow up in a timely manner.
I would highly recommend this company for a kitchen renovation.

We were attracted to this company because of the helpful approach by Roslyn for the design. She was very creative in making the best use of the available space and meeting our requirements for work flows and appliances. The final design was, and continues to be very appreciated by us.
The issues we ran into were more related to the quality of the hardware and the installation. Best Kitchens was good in coming back several times to correct some issues, but with time, we just gave up. The sliding hardware especially has shown an alarming propensity for failing. In addition, the installation of the cabinetry did not meet our expectations.
There were also some issues with respect to delivery of the actual configuration that we ordered. Some items were missed and had to be ordered and installed after the fact.
Overall, we are happy with the kitchen but still grappling with some quality issues. It shouldn't have to be this difficult. This is why we gave the rating that we did.

Every day, a year after our renovation has been completed, I still say I LOVE my kitchen each and every time I enter the room. Roslyn, owner of Best Kitchens has the greatest eye and sense of design. She was able to make the most of our kitchen space and created 3 designs from which we could choose. She was happy to take the elements we liked the best from each one and created a custom design. She recommended cabinets, counters, flooring etc. that fit our budget and lifestyle and when we were unsure as to what to pick, she was able to help us visualize what it would look like. Now that it is completed, we can see that all her suggestions, creativity and ideas were absolutely RIGHT! Renovations are always painful, but our BEST kitchen is the BEST! Biggest compliment?? This is our second BEST kitchen that Roslyn and team have done for us. 15 years ago in our first home, we were just as delighted with our kitchen as we are now in our second home.

I have used Best Kitchens over the last 5 years to complete renovations to the Kitchen and 3 bathrooms.

Roslyn and her son Matt, the main carpenter, did a fantastic job of installing the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Tile, wood floors and plumbing are subcontracted.
They treat your home like their own. Clean up after themselves, lay protective cardboard down where necessary. Install plastic sheeting on door openings to keep the dust down between rooms. They arrive when they say they will.

We had some minor issues that developed that were handled reasonably. Easy to work with. Roslyn has a good eye for colors and fabrics and listens to what you want and makes suggestions.

The quotations were a little sparse for my liking and had to flesh them out a little. The workers are not always at your home (multiple jobs on the go) so it can be a little slow.
We compared prices from 3 different suppliers , each time there was work to be done and Roslyn was always competitive.

We have refered Roslyn to our friends and family and she has done work for 3 others we know with good results.
