Repair Electrical Outlet in Living room

The problem with my living room is that there was an electrical problem. Everytime I turned the switch to "on" to turn on the lights in the room, all the power would go out. Then we would have to reset all the power in the house. However, these guys came in and took a quick look at the problem. They did have to tear down the wall (not the whole wall, just more like cutting to see what is behind it), and they knew the problem. They made a replacement to some part (I'm not a electrician, I can't really say what they replaced), fixed the wall, and everything was working like smooth once again.
