A representative was sent to evaluate my father's home for roof repair after a long-stay in the hospital. After taking advantage of the situation and not following up for several weeks, the representative accused us (the clients) as the deceitful party saying that we had not been in communication with the company. He had never come back to reevaluate the roof after promising to carefully review what needed to be done. There were several points of contact for this job and something very simple became very complicated. The dumpster contracted for the job was outside of my home without a permit for several days, even after expressing my concerns regarding being fined by the city and the obviously illegal dumping that continued for the days it was left uncovered before the job began. The customer service division had called me regarding whether or not the rep had come to pick-up the second half of the payment. They were unaware of his whereabouts and several days after the projects, he collected the check. He had never followed through with other work I had asked him to quote. After the roof repair was completed, it had begun to leak again. The work required was very basic, but ridiculously expensive.
The company sent over the sub-contractor who had originally worked on the roofing and sky light installation to fix the leak. During a conversation with him, he had asked me if I had paid the rep in cash because the rep has been just been accused of running off with the second-half (cash) payments from several company construction projects. Obviously the subcontractor was robbed of his share for the jobs he had completed. And, as far as I was informed, the company had refused to pay the roofer for his work and they were unable to trace the representative! While one person may or may not reflect the way the company operates, I would never recommend them to anyone. It was one of the most terrible experiences I have had with home repair. Highly disgusted.
